Long lost wolf

Father... Father it's a word I've never heard before. Well of course when my mom talks to her dad or even when my school will have bring your father to school day but that word never had a meaning for me. I could never put a image with it. Apparently I do now and I don't even know how to feel like wh-

"Son listen I want you to know that I apologize for not being there it's just that me and your mom never really wanted this to happen." My father exclaims as he snaps me back to reality. "I am proud to finally see you and seeing how you've grown. I always watched from afar and waited for this moment." My mom starts, " I know this could be a lot on you but I wanted us to be a big happy family."

"Family, Mom please listen to what you're saying. You want to start a family with someone who left me and you for years? You want me to just open my arms to a stranger that have features like me since I'm in this form? Really? This is insane and why now? Is it because I'm finally what...A wolf?

"Son please you don't understand. It's very complicated." Said my mothers breeding partner

"No what's complicated is how you missed your own son grow. And if you watched from afar why not say let me not be a creep and actually raise my son. You haven't thought bout that huh?"

"We didn't know Chase. We didn't know if you'll become one of us. But now we do and we couldn't leave you stranded so one of us had to take care of you. Your dad was almost killed by humans and I wasn't gonna put him back in that predicament again."My mom exclaimed.

So what if I was one of them? What if I was a human and I never tired into a wolf? What would've happened then?

"Nothing wouldn't have changed in fact nothing has changed" my mom said.

Nothing changed.. NOTHING CHANGED!! Mom I was just walking on two legs now I'm walking on four but nothing has changed. Oh let's not forget umm yeah I'm meeting my dad and mom in this same form.

"Chase calm down. Please. Everything will be ok. Let's try to be a family or build towards it." My mom pleaded.

"Alright, I guess I'll try it out." I say nonchalantly

"Great now we can finally meet you to everyone else. You're the last of our pack until you have a wife and kids then our legacy will continue" my father explains.

As we head towards a dark alleyway to what look like a dungeon, I started to think about everything that has happened in only 24hrs and how crazy it is that my family are rare wolves. And most of all for now I am the last wolf to this pack or so they say.
