Chp5 the date

The next morning i woke up super early and i grabbed some shorts and a singlet on. I sneacked outside and ran to sarahs house. I knocked on sarahs window, and she opened it to let me in. I gave her a massive hug, and she looked at me and put a fake smile on. Her dad walked in the room looking suprised, " oh uh hello jenny! Hey sweetie we have to leave now for the airport." She looked over to her dad and nooded she turned back to me and gave me a huge HUG! Then she grabbed a box and gave it to me. She told me to open it when i was sad. I said goodbye with tears down my face. I watched her car leave the drive way. I coudnt belive my bet friend left me.

I went home and i told mum all about it, she told me i could have the day off. I went to my bedroom when i got a text from alex, " hey um are you coming to school today, we need to talk"

I replied.

"No sarah has just left and im really upset."

He replied " be ready in 10"

I was confussed.

I chucked my hair in a bun and grabbed my floral dress on.

*Ding dong*

Ill get it, my mum let me go outside.

Alex was there with a nice shirt and cute jeans.

He didnt give me a hug, or anything.

He took my hand and we walked down the pathway in silence. It was really awkward..

We kept walking, still holding hands when we stopped at maccas.

He pulled me inside, he went to the counter and ordered 2 cheeseburger 2 large fries 2 packets of nuggets and 1 coke.

We sat at a tabel, STILL IN SILENCE.

I decied i should say something

"Whats up with us"

He looks away and looks at the person coming down with our order.

She look about our age, she gave us our food and look at alex and winked. He gave her a smirk.

I saw it all and i wasnt gonna let this happen.

I grabbed a cheeseburger, ate it as fast as i could grabbed him and then ran ti the play ground i told him to climb up to the slide and meet me there.

When he came i looked him in the eyes and say

Me- "WHAT UP!"

Alex- " uh-nothing.."

Me - " alex im not dumb tell me what happened."

Alex- " okay, that girl that served us shes um..... UM my cousin. Yea my cousin and she gave me the wink signaling that it will be ready soon.."

Me- " what will be ready?"

Alex slide down the slide and yelled wait here. I saw my good mate godess, she knows alex and i are dating i wave to her. She starts walking up to me when she stops in supprise. Her eyes lit up and she walked uo to the counter where alex was. I couldnt see or here anything from there. But alex walked back up the slide with another cheeseburger and the coke from our bench. I saw godess walk back out.

I opened it and the cheeseburger had my name on it!

"Ahaha"

Alex- " i thought you would like it.."

He gave me a kiss on the cheak. I gave him a big hug and he pulled me onto his lap.

We were looking at each other smiling. When his phone called

Alex i gotta take this..

"Uh hi " he walked outside talking to his phone.

He came back and said

" ahh that was my mum.. I have to gi hime right now. Bye"

I stopped him and turned him around and went to hug him but he pushed me away and ran off.

That killed me. I thought this was a date, i really need sarah.
