Taehyung's past (flashback)

living as an orphan wasn't easy for him, not having any family to support him when he has started his job as photographer made him face so many hardships but eventually he confronted them.
everything was fine until he met the significant other, as cliche as it sounds they fell in love at the first sight after Jimin visited Taehyung for a photoshoot.
after their first meeting they both made excuses regarding the photoshoot to meet eachother again and again, until Jimin gathered his courage and confessed his love to the blonde hair boy.
19 years old Taehyung never knew how it feels to love someone or be loved by them, it was all new and tempting to him.the only close people to him were his three friends that he lived with in orphanage, but since Taehyung was so shy and quiet he wasn't able to make the bonds between them strong enough so they were just some normal friends to him that he spent some of his lonely nights with.
but after letting Jimin in his life everything has changed, every minute that he spent with the said boy was gold to him. no one had ever made him as happy as Jimin did, all the cute and romantic dates they had at cozy cafés and all the shy kisses and hugs they shared, they were all precious to him.
but they say after all the happy days there will be a sad one.
it's been a year since they have started dating, Jimin's birthday was near and Taehyung couldn't wait to surprise his boyfriend. he had spend his money for months to hold a small birthday party for his loved one.
the D-day has came and Taehyung had decorated his small apartment with balloons and ribbons, putting the candles on his homemade cherry and chocolate cake. he had called Jimin an hour ago telling him to come over for netflix and chill.
what he didn't expect was facing a sad Jimin with teary eyes

"wh-what happened?" Taehyung asked shocked.

" I had an argue with my parents..." Jimin almost whispers head tilted down.

"why?!"

"Taehyungie...they found out about us..."

Taehyung's heart escapes a beat, Jimin has told him how his parents are so homophobe and strict. not sure what to say Taehyung prefers to stay silent, wondering if it would be an end to their relationship.

"seems like they have suspected it since I've spent less time at home this past year, so they send someone to follow me..."

Taehyung looks down at the birthday cake, tears filling his eyes.'how can a moment of happiness turn this bitter, it's so unfair' he thinks.
Jimin cups his cheeks making him look up "Taehyungie, I won't let them tear us apart. I told them I can't even live a day without you and that they won't see me until they accept our relationship"
Taehyung looks at him eyes widened, he didn't expect that. He never thought that Jimin would choose him over his own blood and flesh

"No Jiminie, you can't do that they are your parents!"

"I don't care...what's the point in living with someone who doesn't even try to understand your feelings, Taehyungie you're the only person that I found comfort with"

Taehyung wraps his arms around Jimin's waist, pulling him in a warm hug.
"I'm sure everything will be alright" he whispers in his boyfriend's ear, patting his back slowly.

2 months pass after Jimin moves in with Taehyung and ignores his parent's pleadings to meet him. Taehyung feels so bad being the cause of all these happenings but he knows that he should respect Jimin's decision. during these two monthes they've grown closer to each other almost like a husband and wife.
everything was perfect until the never important news caught their attention
"Park Sungwoo the Ceo of Park corp and his wife, kang Jiyeon, died following a car crash in gangnam-gu....."

And hearing that Jimin's world crashed down.

a month later

after his parent's death Jimin has suffered from extreme depression, although Taehyung was there for him making sure to comfort the broken boy everytime he needed him.

"now I know how you feel Taehyungah...not having anyone to call family and rely on...I was such a bad son for them" Jimin says crying.

Taehyung tightnes his hold around the boy, rocking him back and forth slowly

"Jiminie I'm sure they were so proud of you but they want you to stay strong and not give in baby"

"you're the only one left for me Taehyungie...I'm afraid of losing you.."

"I'll never leave you baby, you know that you're the only one I have in this world"

"Taehyungie...if someday I propose to you will you marry me?" Jimin looks at him with pleading eyes.

Taehyung smiles, nodding his head

"I will"
