With two children, both healthy and happy, Kaia and Sirius believed they had everything they needed. Their family was complete, and life was good.
Their firstborn son was named Skylar, and their youngest daughter was named Nimah.
In contrast to his wife, Kaia was reserved and composed, while their children were carbon copies of Sirius, displaying his energetic and dynamic nature.
The home they shared was rarely without excitement, especially when their friends visited. They could guarantee that the atmosphere would become more entertaining and lively.
Nimah, the young child, had been planning a mischievous surprise by peeking into her parent's bedroom and launching herself onto the bed, only to be snatched up into the air before she could even get started.
"Nimi, I know you just wanted to have some fun or prank your mother, but she really needs to rest. She was out late at work last night," Sirius explained gently.
Nimah let out a deep breath, turning her head to her father. "You scared me, Papa," she confessed with a hint of pouting.
Sirius let out a soft laugh, adjusting his hold on the spirited child. "I'm sorry, but maybe you can go for a walk with your brother and then return once your mother has woken up," he suggested.
Seeing her pout, he reached out and gently pinched her nose, causing her to giggle. "But I want to wake Mum!" she protested.
"Next time, it's settled," Sirius replied, lowering her onto the ground.
"Promise?" she asked, to which he nodded.
"I promise," he assured her, watching her nod in understanding before running off to search for her sibling.
He had gradually made his way into the room and ended up taking a much-needed afternoon nap. The tranquillity of the room was peaceful, allowing him to rest and rejuvenate after the events of the day.
A few hours later, he was woken up by a gentle but persistent tap on his cheek. It was a familiar routine he shared with his wife, so he instantly recognized the soft yet playful tap, knowing it was her.
He let out a soft smile, trying to suppress his grin, but it was futile. He playfully tried to bite her finger, eliciting a delightful squeak from her. He turned on the bed, hovering above her. "Good evening, love," he greeted her with a loving smile.
She smiled warmly, running her fingers through his hair softly. "Good evening, love. It's quite surprising that I managed to get a moment of rest. So, how did that happen?"
Sirius chuckled. "Well, you almost suffered a minor attack, but I had you to save me from it," he teased lightly.
She chuckled as she asked, "What was Nimah's plan this time?"
Sirius answered with a smile. "She planned to jump onto the bed," he explained.
Kaia added, "Ah, another tactic added to her 'How to Wake Mummy' book," she replied, amused by their child's determination.
