(A/N: Fair warning for you guys; this chapter is REALLY long, so read at your own risk and pace.! ❤️)

*A few days later, the city of London is terrified and paranoid about their surroundings, especially at night, since another prostitute was found dead not too long after the previous victim by the same unknown killer. Ciel is sitting inside a carriage with Sebastian as coach and across from the young Earl inside the carriage is Katerina, who was requested to come along by him and the head butler themselves. And Katerina was quite eager and excited to be helping her young master with a case, something she has been waiting to do for quite some time*

Katerina: *listens to the clock tower chime its bells outside, and then looks over at Ciel, smiling softly* Thank you again, Master. For doing this, bringing me along.

Ciel: Think nothing of it. Knowing your background and where you came from, it would be a good idea to have you assist in this, seeing how skillfully talented you are. *Katerina smiles and blushes a little* Although, *looks at her* it was Sebastian's idea to ask you to come along. And I couldn't deny it, especially after you helped him save me from Vanel and took down at least half of his men.

Katerina: It was the least I could do. For you, my Lord.

*Ciel nods his head and looks down at the envelope in his hand, secretly grateful and lucky to have her, and she watches him for a little while and then looks down at her hands, but she could tell that he was a little annoyed by something. Pretty soon, they arrive at Ciel's London townhouse, and Sebastian helps him get out of the carriage as Katerina follows behind them after making sure Eliseo is fine from helping pull the carriage with the other horse*

Ciel: *walking up the front steps* I hate this. There are too many people in London.

Sebastian: *opens the door for him and the three of them walk inside the townhouse* There is no helping it, my Lord. *shuts the door* It's tradition for the nobility to migrate en masse to town from the country every Season.

Ciel: *raises his eyebrow* The Season, eh? A waste of time, if you ask me. *walks up the stairs*

Sebastian: *follows behind him, along with Katerina* Getting away from the manor could prove a nice change of pace. And perhaps a nice change of scenery for Katerina. *smirks at her, and she rolls her eyes at him in response and looks away so he doesn't see her blushing. He chuckles and looks back at Ciel* It's a break from those four, at least. *talking about Tanaka, Finny, Mey-Rin, and Bardroy* We can enjoy a little peace and quiet for a time.

Katerina: *murmurs to him defensively* They're still good people who care so much about the Young Master.

Sebastian: I suppose, yes. Yet, still dimwitted as ever, those three are.

*Katerina shoots him a look, causing him to grin at her again*

Ciel: *sighs softly, looking at Sebastian* Some peace and quiet does sound nice.

Katerina: *smiles at him* That's the spirit, Young Master. And once you get all settled in, I will make you a nice hot cup of tea for you.

*They stop in front of a door and Sebastian opens it. The three of them are taken by surprise when they see Madam Red, Grell, and Lau looking around for tea inside the room, practically tearing it apart*

Madam Red: *groans in frustration as she looks in a bookshelf* Goodness sake! Where do they keep the tea in this house? *throws a book in the growing tower of other books*

Lau: *looking inside a small vase* I can't find it either.

Madam Red: *looks at him and rolls her eyes* Don't be silly! Of course it's not in there. Oh! *goes back to searching*
