Chapter 2

Alex's POV

I kept my head down as I walked to my locker. Since my hair was in my usual hairstyle it was difficult to keep my hoodie over it. The bun kept getting in the way. Ever since a boy in my class mistook me for a girl when I had my hair down, I always had it in a bun. After a while, I saw a row of lockers pressed against the wall. I walked over to mine, put in my pin and took out my books for my next lesson. I shut my locker and was heading to my next lesson when I saw Anna walking straight towards me. Her long blonde hair swaying behind her and her designer bag swinging in her arm.

"My boyfriend is coming home. Get home early and tell my mom and dad that Evan is coming." I wondered why she dragged out he boyfriend's name."And repeat it exactly how I said it."

"But aren't we going to get at the same time ?" I asked. We both have our own cars but we usually get around the same time.

"No." She replied. "You are going to get home an hour early. Got it." She said raising her perfect eyebrow at me. I replied with a quiet yes and walked away.

Anna had the power to easily make me feel insecure. Her long perfect legs and her perfect features were perfect compared to mine. My features were okay. I had a normal face. My height was something people joked about a lot. But nothing in me was amazing or extraordinary. I was just plain.

I run towards my next lesson since i was already late. I walked into the class while keeping my head down. Lucky for me, my science teacher noticed me.

"Mr Hathaway, why don't you go to room 16 and get us some paper for our test."

I silently nodded my head, dropped my bag in my seat and left the class room.
