Chapter 7

Evan's POV

A few more minutes and then I'll have to meet Anna's parents. Excited? No. Scared? No. About to shit my pants? Yes.

Anna is currently sitting next to with her arm around mine but her attention is on her friends. They were talking about who the girl, Alexa, liked. It was boring, basically all their conversation were boring. You know when someone gives you their attention when you don't want it but ignores you when you need them the most. That is how I felt right now.

I nudged Anna on her arm lightly to get her attention. She continued talking until I repeatedly kept poking her arm. She yanked her arm away and kept talking. WHAT THE HECK!

"What the fuck Anna?, I'm trying to talk to you." I said loud enough for her to hear but not the teacher. She then turned around and glared at me but I could see that she was not mad. She was sad.
"What's wrong?" I asked. She gave up trying to keep her mask on and flung her self towards me then started crying.

"Anna, tell me what's wrong." I run my fingers through her hair while holding her close to my chest.
She sniffles a few times then raised her head.

"I'm so scared. My parents are so scary and judgemental. Promise not to leave me no matter what?" She asked looking at me with pleading eyes. Ok...this is weird. I looked at Anna for a few more seconds trying to figure out what the heck was happening. I looked behind her at her friend but she just shrugged at me and continued texting on her phone.

"Umm.. sure?" I told her while shrugging my shoulder. She then looked at me for a few seconds then nodded her head. Ok was all she said then went back to talking to her friends. Like I said, weird.

A few minutes after the little scene, I looked up at the clock and saw the lesson was going to end in 3 minutes. Perfecto I thought as I glanced at Anna. She looked up from her watch and looked at me as well. She frowned then started placing her stationeries and books back into her back. I did the same and when we were both done, the bell rang almost on cue and the whole class fought each other trying to leave the class.

Anna flipped her hair back then looped her arm around mine. She asked if I was ready and I replied with a yes. She started walking in front of me and pulled my arm as well. She reached the parking lot and got into her car. I didn't bring my car today because we both agreed on taking her car instead. I slipped into the soft leather and tried to relax. Why I am getting a feeling this was something more than a casual meet my girlfriends parents thing??

Guess I will have to wait and see.
