Promises

I looked down and realized what everyone was looking at. I turned around and ran upstairs with tears in my eyes.

I got to my room and shut my door and slid down it and started crying. I sat there for a couple of minutes until I heard someone knocking on my door. I didn't care who it was I still wasn't opening my door. It was a soft whisper, I knew who it was.

Lexi:" Just please go away!"

Colby:" please Lexi, just let me in."

Lexi:" Colby, I don't want to talk about it."

Colby:" Just let me in, please."

Lexi:" fine."

I opened my door and walked to my bed with Colby following. I laid down on my bed and rolled over. Colby sat on the edge of my bed and didn't say anything.

Lexi:" Well are you going to say something."

Colby:" I don't know what to say." But I have to ask. Why?"

Lexi:" My parents were abusive, I shortly started to think I was good enough. I'm to fat, and ugly. So I started cutting, I still cut to this day."

Colby:" I'm so sorry Lexi."

Lexi: "Don't apologies."

He pulled me into a hug. When we pulled away I could tell he had tears in his eyes.

Lexi: " Colby, I'm fine."

Colby:" Just promise you won't anymore."

Lexi:" Promise."

We went downstairs and everyone looked excited.

"What's going on?" I asked. " We're going to a party!" Devyn said in excitement.

She dragged me upstairs so we could get ready. She pulled out a jacket, a shirt, and a skirt.

Devyn: " here, put this on!"

I walked out of the bathroom and did a little twirl.

" Ooo girl! Look at you!" She said. I smiled and just looked down.

"Now time for your hair and makeup!"

She rushed me to her vanity. It took about 2 hours for both of us to get ready. She took me to the mirror, and my mouth dropped.

"Devyn! This looks great! Thank you!" I gave her a hug. We walked downstairs and waited till it was time for the party.

Sorry it's been so loner since I have posted. I got my phone taken away for a couple of days and I have been busy. So please forgive me!
