JJ motioned us to follow them. We followed them up stairs.

"You ready?" Jack said grabbing car keys. "For what?" I asked crossing my arms.

"We're going to the community center, so you can pick your community service or it will be assigned for you." JJ said.

The guys walked out. I did a huge sigh. "Look on the bright side. At least we'll be doing the same things right." Hope said.

I smiled and gave her a bear hug. I locked the bottom lock and shut the door on the way out.

I saw Jack and JJ were waiting for us in the car. I got on the right and Hope got on the left.

The way there. The ride was quite. Nobody broke it. When we got their, JJ stayed in the car. I turned my head around and saw him talking on the phone.

Jack went with us. He handed us papers signed by a judge saying ''From the Arizona police department blah blah blah..."

All three of us. Jack lead us to the front desk. I handed the lady the papers.

She gave me a dirty look. Assuming she was in her late 40's. " Have a seat and fill this out." She said giving me different papers and a clip board.

I walked over to the seating area and saw a list of things to do.

Paint over graffiti.

2. Volunteer to be a teacher's aide during your study hall.

3. Collect coupons and smallgift certificates for students who show progress inschoolwork.

4. Hold a used book sale and donatethe money.

5. Organize a "get acquainted" lunch for students at your school.

6. Set up abuddy systemto match new students withones who have attended school.

7. Start an anti-smoking campaign that encourages students not to smoke.

8. Encourage the schoolcafeteria to donate left over food to localhomeless shelters.

9. Tutor students who arelearning Englishas asecond language

Help cook and/or serve a meal at homeless shelter.

2. DuringNationalNutrition month inMarch, organize a nutrition awareness campaign.

3. Organize a food scavenger hunt to collect food for the needy.

4. Alter and repair clothes for the needy, elderly and homeless.

5. Gather clothingfromyour neighbor and donate it to a localshelter. 6. Make "ICare" kits with combs, toothbrushes, shampoo, etc. for homeless people.

7. Bake bread on NationalBread Day in November and deliver to the hungry, homeless or just your neighbors.

1. Volunteer at an animal shelter. Help clean up, play with the animals, or do whatever's needed to make the shelter a nicer "temporary" home for the animals.

2. Becomea foster parent. Some shelters have temporary foster care programs. You takecare of apet until they can find apermanent home for it.

3. Control animal populations.

4. Find out about raising a dogfor persons withdisabilities.

The list went on and on. It said check 3 things off.

I Checked off paint over graffiti. Help cook and serve meals at homeless shelter. Work at an animal shelter help clean up,play with animals,and do whatevers Needed to make shelter a temporary home for animals.

I turned my paper upside down so Hope could copy.

She shook her head to let me know she was finished. I turned to the next page.

There was just basic questions like address,dob,full name, stuff like that.

"Do you know the address?" I asked Hope. "1492 Avondale Street." (Not sure if this is real or nah) She said. I looked at Jack he shook his head.

I finished signing the papers. I took them back to the lady at the front desk. So did Hope.

Jack lead us out and back into the car. The ride back was still quite. Well the radio was on.

So it wasn't quiet? I dunno.

I'm still wondering if Jack is still mad about that incident when we we're 15. (Two years ago.)
