It's me and Mena's 1st years anniversary as a couple. This anniversary meant a lot to you cause you both started off as best friends. But it felt like it didn't mean much to Mena as much as it meant to you that's cause he had a work trip to Texas on the same day as your anniversary. And just the day before you guys had a big argument
Your pov:
Today's the day i confront him about how i feel about his trip on our anniversary. I'm a nervous wreck. What if he gets mad at me? Ha he probably will. But he might have a different reaction. I'll never know until i tell him. And today is that day.
Y/N: Hey Mena can we have a talk real quick?
Mena: Sure what about?
Y/N: Tomorrow...
Mena: Oyyy what about tomorrow?
Y/N: I was just thinking... Our 1st year anniversary is tomorrow... And your work thing in Texas is also tomorrow.
Mena: And???
Y/N: And? So what are you going to do about it?
Mena: Go to work as usual and come back...
Y/N: But Mena it's our anniversary... As a couple... Our first year together...
Mena: I know, but i need to work also...
Y/N: Mena are you serious??
Mena: Yes. Problem?
Y/N: Yes there's a problem there's a big one. It's our anniversary and you're going on a work trip out of town!
By now I've had enough and started shouting at him which, startled him and myself.
Mena: Look the trip was unexpected what else do you think i should do?
Y/N: RESCHEDULE. SIMPLE AS THAT.
Mena: NO. NOT AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
Y/N: THAN CANCEL!
Mena: I CAN'T CANCEL, NOR RESCHEDULE DON'T YOU EVER LISTEN TO ME?
By now the loudness of his voice was matching with mine. Here we are again shouting.
Y/N: DON'T I EVER LISTEN TO YOU? DON'T I EVER LISTEN? I LISTEN TO YOU ALL THE TIME MENA!
Mena: WELL OBVIOUSLY YOU WEREN'T THIS TIME
Y/N: I DID LISTEN MENA AND WHAT I HEARD IS THAT YOU'D RATHER GO ON WORK TRIP INSTEAD OF CELEBRATING OUR 1ST YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Mena: WELL I'M SORRY, BUT LIKE I SAID IT WAS UNEXPECTED. MY JOB IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OUR ANNIVERSARY!
Mena's pov:
Shit why'd i say that? I regret it so much now. I didn't want to make this argument worse and i didn't want to hurt her. And now i did. I messed up big time. I'm a dead man.
Mena: Y/N I'm sorry... I didn't mean-
" No you're right our anniversary isn't important at all Mena" she said as tears were streaming down her face.
Mena: No it does just wait-
Y/N: NO I'M DONE!
