Xena

I was sitting out back watching the water when I hear the door slide open. I look over and saw Jocelyn walking out and sliding the door closed behind her. I give her a smile and I go back to being in my own world when she sits next to me.

"You okay?" She asks and I hum a yes.

"Just taking this time to relax before we get back to work. I miss home as well." I say and she nods and leans back in her chair.

"I miss home too, but not too much." She sighs and I look over at her.

"How's your mom?" I ask and she shrugs.

"Ever since she married that man, haven't heard a single thing from her and all I hear is money requests from him and he then guilt trips me for calling him out on just wanting money to flex like I'm his daughter." Jocelyn says and I frown but she gives me a reassuring smile.

"Don' worry too much about me okay? I'll be fine." She says and pats my arm.

"I don't like how you are suffering so much Lyn." I say and she shakes her head.

"Stop worrying so much. Your heart is too young for that." She jokes before getting up and sitting next to me and hugging me.

"I just want you to have a happy home." I say and she hugs me tighter.

"You guys are my happy home." Jocelyn whispers.

"Who wants to watch a marathon of Jaws and shark movies in the pool with me?" Kandi shouts, sliding the door open and both Jocelyn and I sit up.

"Me!" We both shout in unison and Ophelia comes out.

"Well someone help me with the snacks then." She smiles and Jocelyn gets up.

I smile as I watch Kandi set the pool floaties out and both Jocelyn and Ophelia going in and out bringing loads of candy, popcorn and sodas. I might miss my home, but these girls right here are definitely my home.
