"I'M NOT AS TOUGH AS I LOOK, BARNEY!" Robin shouted, wiping a stray tear from her face. He scoffed, pulling the blazer of his suit together.

"Oh puh-lease. You once went to a cigar club with me, didn't ask me to order for you. We went to laser tag. We lied about being together but we really weren't lying. We...we lied about having sex for the whole summer!" He exclaimed before walking out, slamming the door behind him. Robin sat down on his pristine black sofa, putting her head in her hands. She cried into them, wishing it was simpler. On the other hand, Barney was above their usual bar - MacLarens. He was at the man he called his best friends house, Ted. He automatically threw himself on the sofa, rubbing his forehead.

"Another fight?" Ted asked, coming through with two mugs of coffee.

"Yeah. She brought it up. Sometimes, I just wish she would know how I feel, but we were bros. None of this relationship stuff." Ted sat down beside Barney, and sighed.

"Maybe that's it. Maybe you're better off as bros." Barney groaned, slamming his fist down on the coffee table.

"I can't. I-I just can't risk losing her again Ted. You get it. You're the only  one that gets it because you've been there!" He sipped out of his mug and continued to talk. "And if I let her go, she'll end up with some hot guy and we'll get drunk and try to win her back and she'll run off with him." Ted was astonished, he rubbed the arm of his best friend in result of getting swotted away.

"Wow. You really love her, don't you?" Barney nodded and stood up. "I gotta go save this relationship." He darted out of the building and hailed a cab to his apartment.

"Hey, Ranjit. My apartment, quick. Step on it!" He said quickly, determined to get home. They arrived there in 3 minutes, quicker than usual. "Thanks Ranjit, you're a life saver." He said, dropping a $5 note on the seat. He sped up to his apartment to find his girlfriend crying on the couch.

"Robin? I'm sorry, about before. Your right. Just because you act tough doesn't mean you are." He said, planting a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Thanks, Barney. Means alot." She smiled weakly at the man she loved, taking his hand. "Barney, is this what you want?" She asked, looking into his eyes.

"Yes." Robin fell into his arms of her boyfriend, the best boyfriend she sometimes thought.

I know its short, but it'll get way longer.
