Chapter 3

Wei Wuxian opened his eyes and very quickly became confused as he realized he was not in his room. He swung his legs over the edge of the bed and sat up. He spotted a man on the other side of the room, sitting at a desk with his back to Wei Wuxian.
"Where... am I?" Wei Wuxian questioned and the man turned around, a book and quill in hand.
"The infirmary, Hanguang-Jun brought you here a few hours ago." The doctor said.
"Lan Zhan did?" He said more to himself than anyone else.
"Yes, and I'm not completely sure what caused you to pass out yet but you should lay back down and re-" Wei Wuxian cut off the doctor by throwing open the door and running out of the infirmary. He'd rather be punished for breaking the rules than have everyone know he has narcolepsy. When he told his family he didn't want people to know because he didn't want to be treated differently than the other disciplines, he meant that in more ways than one. He didn't want people to know he had a weakness, he didn't want people to know he was vulnerable.
When Wei Wuxian was living on the street, his narcolepsy caused nothing but suffering. It made him more tired than most and there had been a few moments where he passed out from such exhaustion that he didn't wake up for a whole day. That's only a little bit of the pain though, because there would be nights that are restless yet so very sore, tired and bleeding more often than not. There was one especially terrifying event though that plagued Wei Wuxian's nightmares that had happened not long after Lotus Pier discovered he was having sleep attacks.

12 year old, Wei Wuxian had snuck out of Lotus Pier that morning to escape everyones worried glances and was now exploring town. Wei Wuxian greeted many of vendors who were now familiar with the new addition to Yunmeng. Wei Wuxian was starting to feel quite tired after an hour and was thinking of going back but decided he should get some loquats to bring back for Shijie and Jiang Cheng. While he was walking through the town, his eyes started to feel like they were being weighed down. Just like that Wei Wuxian collapsed soundlessly on the side of the street.

When Wei Wuxian opened his eyes he was greeted with pitch black darkness. He went to move but quickly realized the situation he was in and felt his stomach drop. His legs and arms were bound. His mouth had a ball of cloth in it and a piece of cloth wrapped around tightly to keep it in. Light creeped into the room as a door on the other side of the room opened. A man walked in with two other people one man, and one women.
"Oh look the brat is awake." One of the men said.
"Haha! It's no wonder they kept him hidden away, he's so weak that he collapsed on the side of the road!" The other man said.
"His body is disgusting, it looks malnourished and sickly." The woman said scrunching her face up in disgust.
"He'll fetch a good price just because of his identity!" One man exclaimed, grabbing a fistful of Wei Wuxian's hair and lifting his head to face the three. Wei Wuxian's eyes widened in fear.

Sell him!?

He's not a object!

What are they going to do to him!?

"We should treat him just like the dog he is!" The man not holding him suggested.
"Haha! You're right, he's a dog and dogs don't wear clothes!" The woman said as she viscously gripped the collar of Wei Wuxian's robes. He struggled desperately to get away from her but the grip in his hair prevented him from doing so. She pulled down his robes so they hung at his elbows, unable to come off due to the bindings. She reached for his sash and he struggled harder than before, ignoring the pain tearing through his scalp.
"Mmph! Mph! Mmmph!!" Wei Wuxian screamed into the gag, tears flowing freely. His sash came undone and hands roamed his body. Every touch was

Revolting

Uninvited

Repulsive

Nauseating

And absolutely vulgar making bile rise in Wei Wuxian's throat. He wanted to escape the touches that felt like fire on his skin. Wei Wuxian just wanted it all to stop. For it all to end.

As if the heavens heard his call, it all stopped.

Wei Wuxian trembled as sobs wracked throughout his body. He curled in on himself, his vision was blurred with tears. His vision became filled with purple.
"Wei Wuxian! Wei Wuxian! It's going to be okay..." Jiang Cheng's voice filled his ears as he was pulled into Jiang Cheng's embrace.

Everything is going to be okay.

A/N: I told myself I wasn't going to hurt Wei Ying but.... then this happened. Whoooops....
