As the night went on the lunar and solar eclipse became stronger. It was scientifically impossible to have a lunar and solar eclipse on the same day but this wasn't science. It was supernatural.
A extremely powerful baby was being born to a young mother in the Primadonna Coven. The coven mainly draw their powers from the Nemeton and their gods or as they call them, The Deos.
But, the baby that was about to be born was too powerful. The coven had gotten a prophecy about the baby. The prophecy had been written in a different language so only members of the Primadonna Coven could read it. All anyone knows til this day is that the baby was the the beginning and the demise of the Primadonna Coven.
The young mother named Alejandra screamed in pain. She was on the forest floor next to the Nemeton. The whole Primadonna Coven stood around her and the Nemeton, holding hands chanting, 'Primo habitum.'
At the lunar eclipse's apex, a baby girl was born. Reyna Luna Thordottir was her birth name but her last name would later be changed to Valdez. Her father was Thor, god of thunder.
Confused? Well Alejandra had a sleeping curse put on her by a witch in 1527, a long time ago. It was for the safety of her and the child. The Primadonna Coven had just gotten Alejandra back less than two months from The Gemini Coven in Portland.
The leader of the Primadonna Coven stepped up and gently took the baby. He looked down at Alejandra who was still panting and magically slit her throat, making the baby in his arms start crying. He took a knife and was about to slit the baby's throat when the baby screamed making him and the rest of the coven drop dead, leaving the baby to float in the air.
16 year old Derek Hale who had heard screaming ran towards the scene. He found dead witches everywhere, but he heard the sound of a baby cooing and followed it. He picked up the baby and looked into her eyes and smiled.
That baby would become his little sister. Until the day of the fire. Reyna remembers that day clearly. She was getting a lecture from Talia because she almost revealed her magic to the world. She remembers Talia using the last of her strength to break the window. She remembers Talia's last words.
"Remember who you are." Were the last words her adoptive mother told her before she died.
Reyna was later adopted by two SHIELD agents.
Reyna also remembers her adoptive parents death. They went to the town of Mystic Falls, undercover for the SHIELD. They never came back, hell, they never even found the bodies. Little Reyna just knew her parents were dead from the pity on Melissa McCall's face when she came to tell her.
Pity, something Reyna will get all to familiar with.
