|| Chapter six ||

Friday night

| Brook's POV |

After our heart to heart in the tree house, all day Jack had been doing everything to cheer me up. He's been making small jokes and letting me do whatever I wanted. Things like this make me really love him. He's the best friend that I have ever had in my life and I hope he stays until the very end.

It was the evening now and Jack was making dinner for the house, whilst I sat on the kitchen counter like a lost puppy. He doesn't trust me with the food or fire so he made me stay in my spot until he finished. I just sat there talking his ear off, but I don't think he really minded as he joined in, in all of the interests I was talking about.

I had moved onto movies and we were talking about Rick and Morty . Making small funny references to the show, When Rye had walked in looking all dressed up. I raise my eyebrows, "wow you look nice, have a hot date tonight?" I ask sharing a smirk with Jack.

"In a matter of fact, I do." He stated, I nod smiling. "Who's the lucky lady, making our Rye-pie get all dressed up then?" I ask with genuine interest. Although he shot a glare my way, when I used his self-hated nickname. I only roll my eyes and wait for him to reply, "An old friend from home, we used to go out but we broke up when I moved to London."

"I know how you feel, had to do the same thing in Ireland." Jack spoke out, I look at him with a tiny frown, he never told me he had someone. I kind of want to know now, but I'll talk to him later. I look back at Rye and smile at him, "so, where you taking her?" I ask.

"Uh... fancy restaurant and then movies." I nod, saying that it sounded nice. "Wait, So does that mean you're gonna miss out on my lemon chicken?!" Jack exclaimed. I chuckle at his mocking tone and he shoots me a playful glare. "Sorry mate, but save me some for later, yeah?"

"Nah, it's too late man. You go off on your date and forget about my delicious, mouth watering lemon chicken." I shake my head smirking at the scene in front of me. "Ugh, when you describe it like that, it almost makes me not want to go."

"Really?" Jack sounded excited and hopeful. Rye grinned cheekily shaking his head, "nope." Jack fell into a defeated pose and muttered out, "must be a special woman."

"Yep. Anyway, I must go or she might think I'm standing her up." Rye said as he looked down at his phone, assuming that he's looking at the time. Jack and I nod letting him go off.

Jack finished cooking and we both set up the table, and shouted for the boys. One by one they arrived and sat around the table. We started to eat when Mikey spoke up, "where's Rye?"

"He went on a date." Mikey nodded but still had a frown on his face, "and Andy?" Jack looked up at Andy's spot and only just realised he wasn't here. "Oh, I don't know." He shrugged.

"Has anybody noticed that them two, always disappear somewhere. I asked Rye about his disappearance and he said it was a secret." Mikey explained. And as he did I started to think, they have been gone a lot and it's seems consistent. But surely it's nothing. "Could they disappear together, maybe?" Alex suggested.

"I don't know, but it seems strange that they disappear at the exact same time."

| Rye's POV |

I think I'm in love. No, I know that I'm in love. It definitely was a rollercoaster of emotions but I know now that I'm definitely in love with them. Their eyes are a diamond blue, I can get lost in them for all eternity. Their hair is so soft and gentle, always making me want to run my hands through it. Their voice is so velvet and sweet, makes me melt every time they speak or sing without realising. I love their small hands that fit perfectly in mine, making them the best hand holder.

It is not just the looks that I'm in love with, it's also how they treat other people. How they sometimes may act like they hate someone but truly they love them to bits. How they no matter what mood I'm in, can bring a smile to my face. Their determination to finish a task. And how even when I tell them they're great at singing, they say that they aren't. Even though they're amazing!

I'm so whipped.

Looking to my side I watch as their features are so engrossed with the movie playing on the big screen. I watch as the lights of the movie highlight each of their features. Their eyes darting across the screen, their long eyelashes touching his cheeks ever so often, when they blink. His small button nose and his oh so kissable lips. They are always so tasteful, vanilla and chocolate. A sweet combination.

Not thinking for a split second, I reach my hand and place it across their opposite cheek to me. I push their face towards mine and kiss those lips so delicately. I pull away and watch as they slowly open their beautiful eyes, "What was that for?" They whispered.

I ignore the question and simply reply with, "I love you." Their face looks taken back a bit but a smile is forming, "I love you too, Rye."
We smile at each other and move to a position where their head is against my shoulder and my arm is around the frame.

We continue to watch the movie.
