ROGER’S P.O.V.

Amari- I just don’t know what to do

Roger- He was a good guy Amari..

Amari- I know but… he killed a guy. And you helped…

Roger- Putting that aside, your dad worked so hard to get you where you are. He took care of the family while you were away, he’d call you when you were younger and talk to you.. remember that?

Amari- *nods* But I can’t remember his voice.. what does dad look like?

Roger- He’s exactly like you. He’s tall, he has tattoos on his arm… he’s just you. I can’t even believe this. 

Amari- *looks down*

Roger- Look, I haven’t even seen you in years. Your whole life you haven’t even known me but I’ve been so close with your dad and mom. But I know for a fact that your dad is gonna be so hyped to see you. You’re so much more than I expected. Imagine how he’s gonna react.

Amari- I don’t even know if I wanna see him

Roger- You do. You’re scared because you haven’t seen him ever. 

Amari- *shrugs* What if he doesn’t like me..

Roger- *wraps his arm around him* He will. Don’t worry about that. He loves you.

Amari- He hasn’t even met me

Roger- You’re his son. He’ll always love you.

Amari- *smiles then frowns*

YOUR P.O.V.

*a month later*

Y/N- *on the phone* I don’t know what’s been up with him lately

Diggy- I get it. He doesn’t wanna know me

Y/N- That’s the problem.. I just think he feels left out so he distances himself from everyone else

Diggy- I was never there. I can’t imagine it for him not even knowing me..

Y/N- He’s been avoiding the other kids too.. I heard them arguing last week after pur phone call

Diggy- About what?

Y/N- He doesn’t think you’re a good guy. Diggy, he’s just confused. He wants his dad back and to have his own memories of you like everyone else

Diggy- I remember our phone calls when he was younger, he’d tell me his dreams and what he did at school.. I can still remmeber his vouice

Y/N- Things have change since then.. you couldn’t even see your son go off to college and ..

Diggy- Babe, don’t worry about any of that anymore

Y/N- But I always do. You’re missing so much of their lives…

Diggy- Just don’t worry about it. Promise me, you gotta trust me. 

Y/N- I do..

Diggy- Has Roger bene over to visit?

Y/N- Yeah, he’s been cool with the kids and everything.

Diggy- Okay. That’s all I need to hear. I love you baby..

Y/N- I love you too..

Diggy- *hangs up*

Y/N- *sighs*

Kioka- *walks in the kitchen* Hey mom..

Y/N- *looks at her* Hey honey… you finish school early?
