Her's and Phantom's are connected. When Phantom's reaper of gear takes the souls of whoever, they turn into ghost and get transported instantly into Vivi's in which she can bend the ghosts to her will. After they get uses they go up into where ever their soul takes them.
According to Vinyl this will limit her power and harm she can cost in a day but Phantom worries the ghost might become too powerful and hurt Vivi or she might run out of ghost to help her.
