Cloth woven out of strands of soulstuff.
Developed long ago by a man who went mad trying to save his son from illness, Soulweave is a material woven from raw soulstuff, comparable to normal spirits. It is created only by Soulweavers, and while only meldshapers can use it to its fullest effects, anyone can pick it up and use it.While it is a magical material, Soulsteel doesn't wink out in an antimagic zone any more than a human soul does, nor can it be dispelled to temporarily poof it. However, this conveys no such protection to enchantments placed upon it, so dispelling works just fine to disable the effects of the armor.
The most useful thing about Soulsteel (And Soulweave), however, is that when used to make a magic item, that magic item interacts with soulmelds in a different way than most. Soulmelds, when bound to a Chakra, usually "turn off" any magic items also using that chakra, negating the magic item's effects the . However, in the case of a Soulsteel item, you can instead choose to bind the soulmeld to the Soulsteel item itself. This allows the item and the soulmeld to both occupy the same chakra, functioning alongside each other.
Soulsteel can only be used to make items that are made of metal, such as swords, shields, armor, rings, gauntlets and the like.
