Where is Everyone?

The red sun or the B ... xa ...sgf ... Ughhh whatever. Let us just call it "The star where this planet revolves" is already starting to set. The sky's color turns from light red to a darker shade with a mix of very light purple. From the top of the platform, you can see a vast body of water surrounding the whole place. The ocean seems to be endless since I cannot see any landform beyond the point of where we are.
Upon reaching the top, a noticeable change in the color of the soil can also be observed.  It went from slight pink to cyan like what we have on the foot of the mountain. I look around the place and what catches my eyes are these two brightly glowing flowers at the side. I come closer to check if my guess is right. And yes, I am indeed correct. These two are "flowers of love". In a few months, they will turn to another Szxuveek. The flowers changes its glowing color per second and if I will give it a name, I will call it the Giant Rainbow Flower. These two looks very different from the ones planted below. They are not dried and are relatively smaller. Maybe, they are younger. They are just about 5 feet tall and their buds are just that the size of a coconut. And instead of seeing a baby inside, all you can see are developing clumps of cells.

Beautiful, isn't it? -This is the first time I hear her say anything with a smile and enthusiasm

Yes, they are beautiful. Uhmm, they are flowers of love, right?

Yes.

So ... they will turn to a baby Szxuveek in a few months.

I hope so. I am doing my best to give them the protection and care they deserved.

Finally, something alive. - As I said those words, her smile started to fade.

She started to walk to the edge of the cliff and watch the setting star of their planet. I slowly followed her and stand by her side as we both look into the vast ocean.

Is there anything beyond this point?

None. There is only one wide land continent in this planet and all of the land living creatures live here. Beyond this point is a very wide ocean of nothingness. Well, once upon a time, they are filled with aquatic life  until something very bad happens.

(Sighs) "Where is everyone?"  A question that creates the Fermi Paradox.

Listen, You know, it has been a thousand years since Szxuveeks started to study Astronomy and Science, and the question of if we are alone in this universe is not unique to us. It is just that there are very long series of events and circumstances that is hard to explain but it all leads to the hindrances and failure of the Szxuveeks to communicate with the outer world.

Fine. I guess you really want to know where everyone is? Remember that I told you that there was a planet wide revolution last month? - I replied with a nod.

The Szxuveeks protested in front of the Capitol for Ten days. Everyone is shouting for the change we are all longing for. But the Ruberysa will not give up their power that easily. They do not care for fairness and equality. They are the greediest creature we have ever met. They always look at theirselves as above everyone when in fact they are also just Szxuveeks like the general public. Most of the people joined the protest except the military and the law enforcers, they make up the remaining 15% of the population that refuse to open their eyes and blindly follow the wicked government. They, together with the Ruberysa tried to throw water at us, causing for our skins to burn but we did not give up. They even attack us with their lasers causing the death of some protesting Szxuveeks. But we have come a long way to stop right now. That is why the government creates a way to stop us before we break through the barriers of the Capitol. On the 10th day, the scientist that are loyal to the government have finished their microbial project. This project is a bacterium that spreads through air and when in contact with any Szxuveek, their minds will be altered causing great memory loss. They call this bacteria "×€#,×" or "The Rebooter".
