Footsteps thundered towards the village, angry snarls and grunts coming from the flock of what looked to be the illagers he'd been told about. The priest noticed Ajax's panic, and looked outside. Before they even said anything, the priest let out a scream, and, without thinking, shoved Ajax outside and shut the door. The mob came closer, and villagers started to realize what was going on, scurrying home. The golems lined up beside him, the one he'd met earlier standing close to his right. He felt frail compared to them, but he still harnessed a lot of strength.
Arrows flew over his head and golems began their attack, lifting up the pale-faced mobs with strong arms and hurling them into the air. The sound of cracking bones blood spillage made Ajax cringe. The enderman felt the presence of an arrow behind him, and he blinked, and in a moment's notice, purple dust engulfed him as he stood atop a roof. He unhinged his jaw, his sharp, fanged mouth expelling some type of violet smoke as he screeched in protest. He sprang from his spot on the roof, raking sharp, clawed fingers against the illager's face and and neck. His eyes glowed, shrieking horribly in his victim's ears. When his said victim dropped his axe to the ground, bleeding badly, Ajax stared at the illager.
The illager shook underneath the enderman's unrelenting gaze. His blood dribbled down his face like a wolf had bitten it. Ajax finally blinked, leaving the illager alone. He couldn't bring himself to actually kill something, could he? He shook away the thought. He had villagers to protect! He blinked and teleported in front of the library. Several illagers were hammering at the door. Ajax squeezed between the two and shoved one to the ground, kicking the other from behind. A golem walked in behind Ajax, grabbing an illager in it's strong hands and hoisting them into the sky. The illager landed with a splat on the ground, and seemed pretty dead from what Ajax heard. The enderman stood on top of the other illager's chest. His victim flailed under his feet, but Ajax's gaze didn't waver. The illager threw their axe at Ajax's head, but missed horribly, getting caught in the roof. He stepped harder on their chest, growling quietly. The illager, breathing impaired, gripped a water bottle from inside a satchel on their side, launching it at Ajax. The water and glass hit the enderman in the face, and he was forced to move, letting out a pained cry. The water singed his face and he tried desperately to wipe it away.
With Ajax distracted, the illager called for help, and another unarmed illager stormed over to the scene, dressed in a black funeral gown which was rimmed with what looked like pure gold at its edges. Ajax shrieked, charging at the unarmed illager furiously. He shoved them to the ground, and the victim kicked furiously. "Stay down!" the enderman cowed, slicing at the illager's face.
The illager kicked at Ajax, and opened their mouth to speak. "Vexes, commence!" they shouted, and small, pale-skinned creatures with wings and pupilless, white eyes. They wielded sharp blades of iron, and they drifted towards Ajax. The enderman yelped as a blade sliced across his shoulder. Lavender-colored blood streamed down from the wound, and Ajax held his hand to the injury, panicking. With his other arm, he tried to snatch at the vexes, but they dodged his every move. Another vex drew its sword across the enderman's cheek, landing the blow. Ajax swiveled around, grabbing the vex's arm and yanked it, pulling the vex out of the air and flinging it into a house. The ghost lifted its head, and let out a piercing screech as it withered away.
Ajax felt his wound pulsing in a strange way, and it made him lightheaded. Despite this, he continued to fight the vexes, though he felt himself getting weaker. He felt eyes starting to burn into his back as he fought, materializing themselves as pins and needles stabbing his back, soon spreading to his entire body. The enderman snagged one last vex out of the air, feebly hammering them into the ground before passing out.....
