A Dark Curse

Chapter 9

"To get rid of this you shall burn the chest and the house." Esmaè looked beyond shocked. She couldn't believe what she was being told. "I'll do it. I'll end this." she said. Nathaniel and Esmaè went back to end the whole curse. They quickly went upstairs and got the chest. Esmaè and nathaniel both had matches and took all of the things one at a time out of the chest and scattered them all around the house. They quickly got to the front door. Esmaè told him, "All done , let this sit and burn.". As the house was engulfed in flames, Esmaè's mother drove up. Her car stopped in the middle of the road. "Esmaè call the fire department. Do something the house is burning up!" Esmaè took hold of her mom. "Its ok , don't worry. Everyone will be free now. I had to do it Mom! I had to end the curse!" her mother looked at her like she was crazy. Esmaè had to tell her mother the whole story!

6 years later........ Esmaè never forgot what happened, she thinks about it everyday. She and Nathaniel are engaged and in a happy relationship. They're going to the same university, and decided they'd publish a story about everything that happened. She decided to become a writer during her college years. She published a book about what happened. Now many know the story of Esmaè, the girl who ended the town curse! Even though most don't believe, she and Nathaniel find pleasure in knowing that they put an end to the entire thing!
