My Guardian Angel Is My Fallen Idol

Chapter 2

Tiffany's POV

I woke up to my alarm going off. Yay! Time for work! Yeah, yeah i know, I'm crazy. I went to the bathroom, took a shower, dried my long pitch black hair. I got dressed in my Avenged Sevenfols shirt, and my favorite pair of ripped up black skinny jeans. I straightened my hair, and put on eyeliner and mascara. I quickly took Sammy out, and I'm on my way!

I walked to work listening to the album Waking The Fallen: Resurrection. I walked into the record store, and quickly felt better about my day. I took out my headphones, and the sweet sound of Iron Maiden's "Run To the Hills" hit my ears. I walked to my little locker in the back, put my bag in there, and put my name tag on. Right as I closed my locker, my co-worker, Randy, walked in. "Hi Randy." "Hi Tiff. Hey did you hear that Avenged Sevenfold are haveing some sort of contest?" "No, I haven't. What kind of contest?" "I don't know, one of my friends told me about it. He also said the information are on their official website. You should check it out!" "Okay, I will sometime, even though I don't know why, I can't play an instrument or sing for shit!" "You have a great voice! Remember last week when "Whiskey in the Jar" by Metallica came on, and you started singing? You have a beautiful voice." "You're just saying that. Well any ways people are going to start coming in soon." "Yeah" We both walked back to the front, since there isn't anybody here yet, I might as well look up the contest. I went past all their tour and Death Bat game stuff, I finally got to the contest rules:

Hello Deathbats! We have some great news for you, we are putting on a contest! The winner of the contest will get to go on tour with us, and perform two songs with us at every venue. Okay so here are the rules and how to enter:

1. You must be at least 18 years old

2. Record your self singing and/or playing guitar or bass one of our songs

3. Once you believe the video is wonderful go ahead and Email it to a7xfamily@avengedsevenfold.org (a/n I dont know their real email, so i made one up)

4. If you get homesick easily you might not want to enter in the first place

5. If you do win, we will email you back with all of the details. We will also post the winner on our website.

7. The contest will start October 22nd and will end at midnight on Halloween. The results will be up around noon on November 3rd

Should I enter the contest? I've been told that I have a great singing voice, but I've never really listened to them. I didn't listen because at the time I wanted to play guitar and the drums. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.... "Hey Randy! Do you really think I would have a chance in the Avenged contest?" "Yes, yes I do. You have an amazing voice! You and M. Shadows would sound great together." He gave me a nice smile, and I smiled back, he slightly blushed. I know that Randy has had a crush on me for a while, but i see him more as a friend or a co-worker then a boyfriend or anything like that.

I wonder what song I should sing... There are alot of A7X songs to choose from... hmmmm. I will have to think about it. Tomorrow is when the contest starts, and I have tomorrow off, I will have to start working on it tomorrow.

I heard the bell ring signalling that somebody just walked in. I looked up to see if I knew the person, and I couldn't believe my own eyes.... Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan is standing right infront of me. He smirked. I closed my eyes and opened them a few seconds later, to make sure I'm not dreaming and going insane, when I opened my eyes he was gone. 'i couldn't believe it! How was he here? HE IS DEAD! OH MY JINXX I MUST BE GOING INSANE! "Hey, Tiffany, are you alright, you look like you just saw a ghost?" Somebody said. They pulled me out of my funk. "Yeah, I'm alright." I looked up and saw Austin Carlile looking down at me. "Okay, just wanted to make sure, because you could've been a fan of mine, and freaking out because I'm right infront of you." "I'm a fan, but I'm used to some of my favorite rock stars coming in here. So don't flatter yourself to much. By the way, how did you know my name?" He smiled and pointed at my name tag, and then gave me a duh look. "Oh oops, I forgot i even had this on." "It's okay we all have those moments." "So were you going to buy something, or were you just looking for a conversation?" "Oops I forgot I even picked something out." "It's okay we all those moments." He smiled and handed me a Slipknot CD "Good choice." I smiled, he nodded. "That will be $6 please." He handed me a $10. "Would you like the recipt with you, in the bag, or not at all?" "Not at all, but I would be satisfied with your number." He winked. "Fine, but only because I'm supposed to make the customers' happy." "Fiesty, I like it." We laughed, and i wrote down my number and gave him his change, he put it all in his bag. He hugged me and went on with his day. I won't be surprised if he doesn't text me. Oh well his loss, I'M FUCKING AWESOME! But I have been told that, that is just an opinion though, Ugh ASSHOLES!

Work was a very slow day because it's a wednesday, everybody is at work. Every once and a while we get a whole family that has grown up with rock music, it's always cool to see children growing up in an alternative type of style. It's something i grew into, and always kind of been into. Even though i did get my ass kicked because of it, but oh well it's who I am.

Anyways away from that depressing story. I'm walking home and it's time to figure out what song I'm going to sing to enter the contest. It has to be an Avenged Sevenfold song, this should be easy considering alot of my favorite songs are theirs'. That and there is like 6 albums that have around 12 songs each on them. OH MY GOD I'M RAMBLING, THAT MEANS I'M NERVOUS!! I finally reached my apartment, when I opened the door I was nearly tackled by Sammy. "Okay, Okay I get it you need to go outside." Sammy tilted his head to the side and started to wag his tail. I got his leash, and ran down the stairs with him, because he is full of energy. I walked with hime for about 4 blocks. When we were almost to the apartment building, we have to cross the street, and when i looked across the street, I could've sworn I saw Jimmy again but it's just my imaginaton.

Okay its time to start thinking about what song to sing. I got out a notebook and a pen, and started to write down some of my favorite A7X songs. I ended up picking I Won't See You Tonight Pt. 1. Just because when I was younger I used to cry myself to sleep with that song. I'm just going to record it tomorrow though.
