Alicio? Alicio? Wait! That's one of the characters in Grandma Ysmiela's story. When I turned around to look at her, she was now crying. I froze in place as I just stared at her. "I know that is you Alicio, in a body of Leandro!" she yelled while sobbing hard. " I am sorry but I'm Leandro, not Alicio," I said emotionlessly. "If that's you Leandro, why are being cold? I thought you also believed in creatures like us?" she questioned me because of my sudden change of attitude. "Well, what took you so long to tell me this?" I asked back. She wiped her tears away and took a deep breathe. " I was afraid this might happen. When you will act cold as ice to me. I'm afraid that I will loose you, again" she whispered the last word mostly to herself. "Again? How will you loose me again? When I'm not even yours to loose in the first place?" "Leandro, you may find this stupid but, I think you are the reincarnation of Alicio," she told me her guess. "Why would I be a reincarnation of a slave?" I questioned her then walked away, forcing myself not to look back at her but much to my dismay I looked back. I saw her running towards me then bounced back before her foot could touch the ground after the iron gate. I was about to go back to her and ask her what happened but my brain is too stubborn to let me do such thing. I continued walking until I reached the back door. When I opened it, I was startled when my grandmother was in front of me. Like she was waiting for my return. "Grandma," I said startled. "Looks like you had a little fight with Theo," my eyes widened when she said that. "Grandma, I-" I didn't got the chance to finish what I was about to say because my grandmother said, "You have been affected by the , 'butterfly effect', right?" "Butterfly effect? What is that Grandma?" "Never heard of it?" my grandmother questioned. I shook my head slightly. She just chuckled, "Well you see sweetie, I'd learnt about the butterfly effect before, but I never believed it, it is the scientific theory, that a single occurrence, no matter how small, can change the course of the universe," my grandmother explained. Ohh... Now I get it! "So grandma, you're saying that my reaction to a very small fault of Theo can change fate?" "Something like that," she answered me with a smile. "But Grandma, I think I'm not ready to face her yet," I reasoned. "It's okay sweetie, besides tomorrow is the day of your flight, you can see or even talk to her for the last time, because I know that deep inside you, you also love her, not as a friend, but as your other," she ended then walked away.
