Chapter 1

Chapter 1:

The arrival

It was all fun and games until it happened. We were dancing to the song Limbo Rock. I was running on the beach with my friends away from all of the parents. We were talking about going rock climbing. It was me, Summer, Chris, and Bryce. We've known each other since kindergarten. And we were all 16. All of them were like brothers and sisters to me. We always hung out and this year we were all at Hawaii.

"All right, truth or dare," Summer asked me.

" And don't pick truth," Summer said.

"Dare," I said with a smile on my face.

"I dare you to sprint as far as you can into the jungle for ten seconds and sprint back,"

I got up and started to sprint.

"Don't get lost," Chris yelled

After ten seconds I turned around and started to run back until i saw something ou the corner of my eye. As i got closer it looked like it was glowing. When i got back I told everyone what I saw.

"Stop trying to scare us," Summer exclaimed

"Yeah it's not funny," Bryce said.

"Just follow me and you'll see."

As we were approaching the glowing object, it stopped glowing.

"Someone poke it," Chris said.

As I reach down to touch it, the object exploded with light almost blinding me. I heard a groan coming from someone. For some reason I felt dizzy and drowsy. I tried to stay awake but it seemed impossible. Then everything went black.

When I realized I was awake I sat up. I was in a white room with several beds.One for everyone. Me, Summer, Chris, and Bryce. I stood up and walked over to Bryce's bed and tried to wake him up.

"Bryce." I said as I shook him.

"Bryce," I said again.

"What," he said.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"What are you talking about? We're at the hotel." He said.

"Look around we're in a room with white walls do you think we're at the hotel?" "Just wake up and help me wake up the others."

As we woke everyone else I saw a door on the other side of the room. When everyone woke up a speaker in the corner I never noticed started to play.

"Welcome to the labyrinth." A female voice said,"You four have been chosen to find your way through the labrynth.

Labyrinth? What was she talking about. But as soon as I finished my thought, the door popped open and sunlight exploded into the small room. As we slowly stepped out of the room fresh air filled my nose. There were huge stone walls but grass on the ground.

"Where are we?" Summer asked

"I wish I knew." I replied

As we kept walking we started to hear voices.

"Do you guys hear that or am i just crazy?" Chris asked.

As we kept walking the voices were gettin louder. Then all of the sudden, an arrow wizzed past my face.

"Who's there?" A male voice asked

And after what I said a few whispers started up.

"Walk out from around the corner and show your self!" The guy said.

"My name is Ryan and I'm here with my friends and we woke up in a building a whiles back."

As we came around the corner there was three people standing there. Each one of them holding a weapon. The person who shot the arrow was a tall and he had dark skin with short black curly hair. One shorter girl with brown hair and brown eyes and she had light skin and holding a wood spear. Then there was a boy also with lighter skin, freckles and red hair was holding a stone knife. The guy with the bow nodded to the two people behind him and they walked over and stood behind us.

"Follow me," said the guy with the bow.
