Jacob's P.OV
I turned around expecting to see a familiar face, a face of understanding, but what I got was something else. A face that made my insides churn. Malarie was shocked. Shocked beyond belief. Her mouth was gaping open and I could barely understand what she was saying.
"C-c-could you repeat what you just said?" She uttered.
I could barely muster up the courage to say it again without stuttering too.
"I said, the girl I lik-"
" I know what you said but I just can't believe the fact you wouldn't tell me something like that! We're best friends Jacob!"
"Uh oh" I thought to myself, she only ever called me by my full name whenever I was in trouble with her…
I needed to let her cool off; I needed to leave her alone for a bit. But she did something out of the ordinary, even for Malarie. She grabbed me by the shoulder, flipped me round and told me, as if we were being watched.
"I swear, I will do everything in my power to get you two together"
She'd rarely promised stuff so I knew this was serious, serious enough for her to care.
"So, lover boy, what's so interesting about Ava, hmmm? She seems to have you pretty riled up from what I see."
"She gained the interest of even a studious boy like you, so she must be something, eh?"She began poking my chest and I knew that she'd reverted back to her old self. She began circling me, like a predator to its prey.
"Is it because of her looks, I mean, she is one of the better looking people at our school."
"No…" I replied slowly
"Oh, I get it, it's because you want something from her isn't it,"
"I hear she's not a virginnnn" she says in a sing song voice."Its not that either" I sigh
"I genuinely like for who she is, personality and everything else" I say disappointed that malarie would think I wanted to use her like that."I see :3"
