It's sundown. I'm lying in my back yard against an apple tree, which turned red with fall fever, enchanted by the sunset. It included colors of gold, pink, red and purple, which is fading with the night.

I look up at the fading blue sky, watching the scattered clouds drift by full with a bright orange reflection of the sun. The horizon glows of a deep golden yellow. I see the moon. Its rust yellow reveals a beautiful lunar eclipse. I look straight up as the light empties from the sky. I see a distant star shining dimly through the navy blue that blocks it.

After a while, I finally fall back down to earth, I just realized, its thirty minutes till midnight!

Five minutes until midnight, and about fifty meters to walk. I look down at the trail, I see footprints. She must be there! I rush toward my destination.

I can hear a small fire popping and fizzing, and it's as if the full moon knew this was the perfect night. I could tell by the white halo surrounding it. The stars flash in the blue night sky making the moon glow brighter.

I enter the Serine and instantly saw the blinding pond. The moons light bounced off of the pink and yellow soapstone in the pool, which made it glow as if the bottom was covered with Christmas lights. The small fire in the middle of this clearing was just licking the air a few feet above, so the maple tree done is illuminated by its mysterious light force.

The ground was damp and clear. She must have raked the leaves to the side.

She's not here. I don't see her.

I turn around, and walk towards the entrance of the Serine, and head to the Great Oak. I don't see her, but I look at the carving she made on the bark. I brought a knife just for this moment.

I carved "N+W= LOVE 4ever" under her carving, smiled, then I walked back to the Serine.

Where is Alice?

I look towards the pond and I see her. She's wearing a short white dress with rings of decoration. Her hair is done up with these adorable bouncy curls. The moon light bounces off her in such a way that her dress is somewhat blue. She looks like a white rose in bloom. She looks like an angel. She is an angel.

Her back is facing me. I doubt she knows I'm here. She's looking at the moon, I sneak up behind her.

Right before I hug her I check the time, it's twelve thirty. I hate time sometimes.

I gently grab her hips and hug her from behind. She trembles by the feeling. I kiss her shoulder and she turns around. She looked the slightest bit worried.

"I thought you weren't going to come. I was afraid." She barely manages to say.

I feel a tear slowly creeping down my cheek.

I respond, "I would only come for you. Do not be afraid babe."

She looks up. I could tell she was happy that I called her babe when she jumped back on me hugging me tight.

"I love you Matt." she whispers in my ear.

I kiss her nose and say, "I love you too Kit Kat."

We just stand there, our bodies pressed against each other, the halo of the moon on her face. She's so beautiful.

I stare into her eyes, and she does the same. Our lips are just centimeters apart. The light from the moon somehow creates a ring of beauty and light around us.

I can't take it anymore. I lean in, and gently, softly, and passionately kiss her. She blushes at the feeling, and the world goes silent.

Her knees buckle but I catch her and set her down on the boulder on the edge of the pool.

She's speechless.

She doesn't know what to do. So I decide to sit her up against me. She's just staring at me, I lean in to kiss her again, and again, every time I do she gets weak and her cheeks turn pink.

I pull back and lay down against the rock with her on top of me and our arms wrapped around each other and we fall asleep, both us dreaming of each other and reliving it.
