Lightbulb hadn't told them, but she was already at the park. She was just too excited to sit around! She had a blanket spread out on the grass under a tree, and a big picnic basket stuffed with junk food and fruit. The view was pretty-- from on top of a hill overlooking the park, she could almost see the entire town. And, of course she'd brought Baxter. He was sleeping near the picnic basket.
She hoped her new friends would get along well with Paintbrush and Fan. She had only invited 1 person, Leafy, but Leafy was bringing 3 of her friends. Well, the more the merrier, Lightbulb guessed. She'd told them to come a bit earlier so that Leafy could introduce them.
"Hey, Lightbulb!" a familiar voice shouted. Lightbulb turned around to see Leafy and three others running up the hill to greet her.
"Oh, hey, guys!" Lightbulb said, getting to her feet. When they had reached the top of the hill, Leafy embraced her in a big hug, which she happily returned.
"Ok, so this is Pin," Leafy began, gesturing to a cute girl in a red dress.
"Nice to meet you," Pin smiled.
"Wow! I love your dress, it's so pretty!" Lightbulb gasped. Pin giggled and mumbled a 'thank you'.
"And this is Coiny--" Leafy pointed to a guy in a Letterman jacket, who gave her a peace sign with his fingers, "--and Needle," a girl with a long, grey ponytail who smiled.
"It's so nice to meet you all!" Lightbulb smiled. "My friends will be coming in like, a half an hour."
"Cool," Leafy said.
"Do you guys wanna go down to the playground and act like 5 year olds?" Lightbulb asked excitedly, already starting down the hill.
"You! I like you," Coiny replied, following her.
