CHAPTER TWO THE RIVALRY

After waiting for the finishing acts to perform (which wasn't too much), the girls were approached by a fellow band.

"Good job on the golden buzzer, girls," the light blonde commented towards Nancy, who just rolled her eyes in response. The boy had a wide smirk on his lips as the small group behind him snickered.

"Great," the girl responded with a flat tone. Nancy was never labeled as a people-person, and especially when it came to boys, she was the least friendly personality within a hundred foot radius. "I bet Stevie Wonder would have something to say to that."

The tall brunette held a deep chuckle, and his hand ran through his hair. "Yeah, I bet," he mocked, resting his elbow on the shoulder of the short dark haired boy next to him.

Nancy's hands curled into tight fists. Rage filled her chestnut eyes and she could see a small wash of nervousness on the blonde's face. Her nose twitched. Her hand raised. And as if in slow motion, her fist flew towards the boy.

The two of the three girls jumped into action. Anastasia ran in front of the angry girl and held her shoulders firmly. As well as Daisy, who caught the hand inches away front the stunned blonde. Ruth stood in horror, a unidentifiable emotion filling her face. She moved not a centimeter, and the other group of boys did nothing but back up a few inches.

"Hey!" The dark haired male shouted, gum smacking against his teeth annoyingly. "You didn't need to go there!"

"You okay, Tom?" The quiet darker blonde asked almost silently, his hand nimbly resting on his friend's shoulder.

"Yeah," the boy replied, a sigh escaping his lips as his large eyes glared at the light wavy haired girl. "I'm just fine."

"Why the bloody hell would you do that?" Tom exclaimed defensively. "Aggressive much, Jesus."

Daisy glared with her spiking blue irises  at the boy. "Don't push her," she growled, placing a firm hand on the half calmed girl, walking away briskly.

Ruth stood still and her eyes trained on the ground. "Ruth!" Anastasia called from over her shoulder, noticing the girl was not with them. "Come!"

The lost one snapped back into reality, looking over at her group of friends and back at the boys. She sent a small smile to the males, and joined the people in which she belonged with.

"Sorry," she apologized lightly, hands knitted together as she fiddled with her thumbs. She trailed behind them, but was only far enough to see the three blonde heads bob towards the exit and to their awaiting families.
