Vampire Royalties: The First Hybrid Royalty

I had longed waited for my 21st birthday and now it has come. I'm a little scared of what power I will really possess but this is just how it has to be.

"Father." I called out to the King, I was making sure no one hears it.
"Yvette, I told you to not call me as that in front of our people." Geez! His voice is so deep!
"Forgive me, your greatness." I bowed my head almost unwilling. This is just so... unnatural! Sobrang pormal ng mga bagay bagay dito na kahit ang pananalita ko sa utak ay sumusunod.

"You're already 21, Yvette, don't be scared." I felt Father's hand held mine. Malapit na kong ngumiti sana kaso...
"I'm not scared." I lied hehehe
"Your lies don't work on me, my daughter. " he even laughed at me.

This is just unfair! Bakit pwede siyang tumawa habang ako dito parang manika na hindi dapat gumawa ng kahit anong ekspresyon sa mukha?

Daddy naman eh!!

All these people around is creeping the hell out of me. These tribal leaders are so creepy and scary, especially the vampires.

I know, I know! I'm a vampire too but their fangs are so bloody and their eyes, it has a different shade of red and violet. They even had tattoos all over their bodies and blood stains on their native clothes.

The wolves on the other hand looks so wild even in their human form. They had bone necklaces that if I'm not mistaken were human bones!

The elemental handlers were not much scary and creepy as the other two but I'm just worried about the actual elements that are floating around them, except the air of course. The air is just gushing around but the speed is like of a tornado! The fire is blue! The water slices like a knife and the earth keeps tossing around!

This ritual is usually done with only just one tribe but since I'm a hybrid, it has to be done with the three tribes.

A ritual of resurrection, they say. It is always done on the 21st birthday of a royalty. It is the way of "redirecting" the powers within us that were given by our ancestors since we were just inside our mother's womb.

I don't really understand why it is called resurrection but I think it is because our real power were sealed when we were just kids to protect our body from the preasure of our magic.

I'm not trying to be boastful or something but even with just 10% of my power, I know it's already so much that I can already be half as powerful as my Dad.

It scares me and gives me so much anxiety to think of what more magic and power I will acquire after this ritual.

"Yvette, the full moon is on its peak. Move your feet and go to the elders." I can't help but swallow when Dad said that. My hands were trembling but I forcedly stoped it and step forward on a straight face.

It's now or never.

As I get closer to the circle, I can see that the tribal leaders each holds something. The vampires were holding a golden flute (wineglass) filled with blood. Wolves carried a wooden bucket filled with glowing water that reflected the moon so clearly. The elemental handlers were with stones that I think represent the four elements.

When I reached the circle, the elders started uttering some kind of spell and approach me.

They made me drank the blood, poured the water all over my body and placed the stones around me.

As soon as they were done with it, they came back to their position and the other beings joined. They formed a circle and I was inside it but the great space between us was making me conscious.

Their eyes were closed and their hands held so tightly on each other. The actual ritual started with just the elders whispering the spell but little by little the others started to do it too.

It's all getting into my ears. Wala na akong ibang naririnig kundi yung mga bulong nila. Kahit sarili kong tinig di ko marinig.

My eyes started burning and my veins feels like it was being penetrated by ice then fire. My heart is even beating so much and my body is so scratchy!

My breathing hitched within just seconds and before I knew it, I was already wounding my arms by my nails.

My lips were also bleeding from my fangs.

I can feel the fire around me but not the pain and heat its gives.

I feel numb and I can't control my body.

My sight is getting blurry.

My ears...

I can't see.

I can't hear anything...
