"I can't keep going like this. It's not fair for any of you and I constantly feel guilty" I begin, my eyes jumping from Rye to Sonny, both of their faces falling as my heart sinks.
"I hope that doesn't mess with our friendship, but I think it would be best if I distance myself from both of you in that way." I conclude, my gaze dropping to the floor as I start playing around with my hands.
"I'm sorry""Don't be. I think I can speak for both of us when I say I want you to be comfortable and happy" Rye is first to answer, Sonny nodding his head along as I glance back up towards them.
"He's right. I want you to be happy" Sonny offers a small smile, though I can tell his heart is shattered, his eyes holding a hurting look.
"Thank you. I love you guys" pressing my lips into a tight line, I rock back and forth on my heels, not knowing what to do now. I didn't think I'd get this far.
A silence follows as the awkwardness rises in the room, my palms beginning to sweat before I clear my throat.
"I guess I'll leave you two. I need to get out of this situation" brushing a strand of hair behind my ear, I hurry out of the room, just now realising what I had done.Nicole and I figured out that this is the best way to deal with the situation so I would be able to concentrate on myself and my mental health and also so I wouldn't hurt either of the boys too bad.
Still I feel bad. My teeth grit against each other as I make my way down the stairs and to the kitchen, hoping that one of the boys would be up to get out of this house and help me get my mind off things.
Opening the door, I see Jack and Robbie by the bar stools, laughing a little as I make my way towards them and lean against the counter as I raise my eyebrows at them.
"She did" Jack laughs lightly before his eyes switch to me and his smile falters.
"What's up?""You guys wanna go out? On me" trying to offer a smile, I know that they see right through my facade.
"Sure. Are we going to talk about what happened?" Robbie asks warily, his eyes studying my face.
Nodding my head slightly, a small and sad smile playing on my lips, knowing I need to talk to someone about this.
"Alright, let's go" pushing himself off the bar stool, Jack follows suit as the three of us make our way towards the door, meeting Sonny and Brook on our way.
"Where are you going?" Jack asks curiously as my eyes are fixed on Sonny, having him offer a small smile as he grabs Andy's car keys.
"The cinema, we're watching the new Spiderman" Brook offers a smile as he puts on his shoes.
"Oh, tell me if it's worth watching, I was thinking about going soon too" Robbie points a finger at the blonde who nods his head in response, a few chuckles leaving his lips.
"Alright, have fun" I smile as the two slip out of the door, leaving it open for us as we're putting on our shoes and leaving moments after.
"What's up with you and Sonny?" Robbie tries to start the conversation as we watch the two get into Andy's car and leave the property as we're heading for the bar I went to with Robbie as we moved here.
"I broke things off with him" breathing out, I stuff my hands into the front pockets of my jeans.
"Oh. If you don't mind me asking, why?" Robbie is careful not to push me to a uncomfortable place, Jack listening closely as my eyes dance to him.
"Well, it wasn't fair. I still have feelings for Rye and now that I really thought about it, this is a thing I need to figure out and I think that even though it hurts him now, he will understand soon"
"Can I be honest?" Jack asks, my stomach dropping as I nod my head, growing a little anxious as my eyes are trained on him.
"I never told you, because you were happy and I didn't want to be that guy, but you and Sonny never striked me as the type of couple to stay together" he says, my eyebrows furrowing slightly as my gaze drops to the ground, feeling a little defensive as I process his words.
"Rye and you did though" he adds, my eyes back on him."I don't know what to say to that. I mean, I like both of them. Rye was my first boyfriend and my first kiss but I love Sonny too" debating whether to mention him being my first time or not, I decide that they already know about it and we are adults and can talk about this stuff. Besides Brook of course. Though if it was a serious conversation, I know I would be able to talk to him about it as well, Brook just loves teasing me and being funny.
"And my first time" adding, my eyes drop to the floor as I feel my heat heating up despite the fact that I know it's nothing to be embarrassed about, I can't help it.
"Do you regret it?" Robbie uses a small voice as I muster up the courage to look back up at him.
"No" I shake my head, "I wanted him to be the one and I'm happy he was."
"I know you might think I'm biased, but I have to agree with Jack. You and Rye were great together"
"I don't want to think about dating anyone right now. I'm glad I can talk to you, but I kinda wanted to get out so I can forget about it for a moment" I grow a little annoyed that they are both hating on Sonny like that, as I sigh a little.
"You're right. Sorry" Robbie apologises, scratching the back of his neck slightly.
"So are you ready for tour?" Changing the subject, I look at Jack, a small chuckle leaving his lips.
"Am I ever?"
"Yeah, it was a stupid question" I roll my eyes playfully, Robbie laughing lightly as well.
"No, but I'm excited. I can't wait for the fans to hear the new songs" Jack smiles in my direction as I nod my head.
"What song are you most excited to perform?" Robbie asks, tilting his head slightly.
"Hmm... I guess 'Something About You' or 'Flashing Lights'. I think the Roadies will really love 'Flashing Lights'."
"I love all of the songs of course" I begin, Jack rolling his eyes playfully before I continue, "but I like 'The One That Got Away' the most if I had to choose".
"It's a great song too-"
"Well obviously, otherwise it wouldn't be on the EP, would it?" Rolling my eyes, I receive a glare in response, the three of us falling into some laughter as we arrive at the street where the bar is located.
Loud music heard from the building as a few people are standing in front of the door, smoking and talking.
A smile plays on my lips. I needed this again, going out with my friends and just talk about our lives and joke around as well. I look forward to this evening.
