Firstly, this story is really different from all my others. It's my second long story after "Avenging Rohit". This story is going to be purely fictional, not based on any real event.
Yograj Singh and his minnions have made their way into the ICT's inner circle by him becoming the coach. Still smarting over his son Yuvraj not being picked in the WC 2019 squad, he is determined to ruin the current generation of Indian cricket.
As he goes about creating dangerous and possibly irreparable rifts between the once-inseparable members of the team, Virat, Rohit and the others start questioning everything they have believed in and loved for the last 6 years.
During this time, when they needed most badly to stick with each other, an unfortunate fall out between the captain and vice captain makes Yograj Singh's dystopia seem highly possible.
This story is going to be about how trust takes years to build but moments to break down.
It's going to be about how nothing in this world is permanent.
Mostly, it's going to be about finding the ray of hope even in the darkest hour.
Warning: If you like Ambati Rayudu by any chance, I suggest you don't read this😅
This is a joint effort of my friend Rayna (Mess_Life) and me. She gave me the entire idea, so she deserves more credit that you'd think. Can't thank you enough Rayna❤️
Extract of this book after the chapter "The best reunion" written by her, in her book "One shots on the Men in Blue", chapter name "The darkest hour". Do check it out as well, she has done a marvelous job!

In the Darkest Hour
FanfictionIt's all about finding the ray of hope even in the darkest hour. A group of members outside the ICT force their way into the team's management with a deep, twisted plot of ruining the current generation like Greg Chappell did in 2007. No one knows...
