The Star Wolf

Chapter 2

    Creek saw that Shard was slightly startled by this, which Creek couldn't blame her. It was scary. "Yeah... let's go..." Creek said while walking away from their spot, Shard hurried to fallow. The birds where silent now, everything was silent, in fact, too silent. Creek tucked her ears down to try to block out the eerie silence. Shard started to run, and Creek Fallowed. It started to rain, which would normally calm Creek...but not this time.

  Thunder crackled, almost like a laugh. Creek jumped, all she could think about was getting back to the adoption center, which was a good hour away. "Creek I think we should take shelter in an empty cave", Shard said while turning around. Creek did the same..why did Shard look like she's seen a ghost? She looked back, there was a tall wolf on a rock- he looked pure black in the rain, and where those horns?! Shard took off running, but Creek stole a second glance. Her heart stopped his glowing yellow eyes burned into her wet fur.

  Creek ran after Shard as fast as she could, but she could not get his eyes out of her head. How could any wolf in the rain have glowy eyes like that? And they seemed really familiar, and see seen them befo- her thought was broken, as she ran into something..she looked up. It was the wolf...the one with the horns. Creek must have looked terrified otherwise the wold wouldn't have pity in his eyes, he walked away. Before Creek could even process what had happened her heard a yell in the distance "CREEK!"

    She turned around to see Shard, she was obviously terrified. "What are you still doing out here?! We need to get to shelter! Before we get any wetter!" Creek was confused about how she was more worried about water than the wolf, "What about the wolf?" Creek put in, Shard looked like Creek has grown a tail out of her forehead, "and the wolf" Shard said shyly. Shard started to walk away, as the rain lightened. "Might as well just walk to the adoption center now..." Creek said, "I'm sure they will love two soaked wolf pups" Shard said while walking towards home. Yeah...Creek thought walking after her.
