ARIEL CONKLIN

Ariel Conklin was the kind of girl that made her father very worried. She was a daddy's little girl through and through, but she was also enticing in the way that only a passionate seventeen year old could be. Her long, scarlet hair intoxicated her peers almost as much as her humor and wit. No one could seem to get enough of the charming senior and this kept her father up late into the night, wondering what on earth he could do to help her. Of course, it didn't help that he was her principal and had to spend his days watching delinquents whistling and winking at her she walked the halls with her friends. But while Ariel seemed worldly and wise, she was woefully unaware of love, sex, and the scandal that followed both.

"Mulan, do you still have that necklace I lent you?" Ariel asked distractedly as she rummaged through the pile of clutter covering her desk.

"I'm pretty sure I gave it back to you," her dark haired friend responded as she attempted to get the barbeque sauce stain out of her white top with a tide pen. She hadn't thought to wear a napkin at lunch and now it appeared as though she would be wearing a soiled shirt to Naveen's "Summer's Officially Over and We're All Miserable" party.

"Oh, come on, you look hot without the necklace, Fish, and, Mulan, you know that we're going to make you wear a slightly glitzier outfit to the party so you can stop trying to drench your shirt with on the go detergent." Jasmine reassured her two best friends in a mocking tone before pulling a large, grey cardigan over her rather low cut tank top. She received two gratified smiles and pulled out her cell phone out to ask the host if he needed them to bring any snacks.

Ariel sighed, knowing that her slightly exposed friend was right, and slipped into her favorite pair of jeans before applying a thin layer of mascara and helping Mulan pick a suitable outfit for the party. She knew that, normally, her strong willed friend would never actually allow her to play dress up on her, but the Asian beauty had heard that the charming Flynn Rider would actually be attending the fiesta and wanted to look nice.

The match didn't seem right to Ariel or Fish, as she was so affectionately referred to by her friends, but her philosophy was If you like him, then I support you both wholeheartedly and, if you cant stand him, then I can't imagine a worse couple. Her approach had made her rather popular with the girls at her school and had allowed her to help many guys and girls find their other halves, or at least their prom dates.

True love was a rare thing in the bubbly girl's book and she didn't believe that she had seen it yet, although the brooding school "beast" and new exchange student seemed to have a spark that, if kindled properly, could become the sort of passion and love found in fairytales. She wondered if the two would be at the party that evening. It seemed highly likely that Belle Spirituel would be there, seeing as she had quickly become close with Naveen, Charming, and Esmeralda, but Adam Bête was an entirely different story. No one could know where he would be until he was there.

"Earth to Fish," Mulan teased as she waved her hand in front of Ariel's dazed face, "We have to get going. Are you ready?" With a small, embarrassed laugh, she nodded and lead the way downstairs. They had just reached the door when a booming voice called out to the trio.

"Girls, where are you off to this evening?" Triton Conklin, an intimidating man with long white hair and a full, matching beard, demanded. It was already eight 'o clock and the strict father didn't think any good could come of his daughter heading out into the night with her two best friends.

"Daddy," She was one of the few girls at their school who could still call her father "Daddy" and get away with it, "We're just going to Naveen's party. He lives two minutes from here and we promise to take alcohol tests when we get back, okay?'" She pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
