Veronica was woken up by the rain falling on her face. Rather harshly. Well, good morning, London... The girl still wasn't able to understand what all the tourists saw in this place. Not even after the 16 years she's spent living there, well if you can call living on the streets living

Veronica ran away from the orphanage when she was six. She wanted to find her parents. If they were still alive. That's how she got on the streets. During the years she made what people would call, friends. But to her they were her family and she was theirs. The swore to never leave any of them behind, to help each other, to run together, to hide together. And that they did.

But Veronica was capable of doing something else than just those things, she was able to protect her family. Because she was diffrent. She had something inside of her that made her stronger, in a way. She had so-called powers, but Veronica prefers the name abilities. She is able to make shields and walls that are almost invisible but invincible. You could see them though, if you look well enough you can see this light blue gleam in the air, right were her shield or wall was settled.

The young girl started to open her eyes, only to be greeted by the grey London sky. The small shelter that the group found the day before wasn't big enough for all of them, so Veronica decided to sleep outside of the shelter, because she was the oldest one of the group.

Knowing the others would wake up soon, she had to go find some food. But due to the sound of the rain falling on the metal shelter, a young boy was also awake. "Where are you going, Nikki?" That was what most of the kid in their little family called her, Nikki. They Always had trouble saying her full name, so together they decided to call her Nikki and she didn't mind.

"I'm going to get us some food." She said while crouching down to the boy's level.  "I'll be back soon." Nikki ruffled his hair before getting up once again.  "Let me come with you!" He was quickly on his feet and standing next to the girl, holding the sleeve of her sweater.  "No... You have to stay here and keep the others save." She spoke softly, trying not to disturp the sleep of the other kids.  "They can protect themselves! They don't need my help!" He exclaimed, which caused her to shook her head.  "And when they wake up? They'll be alone. They need someone to reassure them, to tell them that everything is and will be okay. I need you to do that. Can you do that?" The boy looked down, thinking. Veronica patiently waited for his answer, knowing it was the only way to get him to cooperate.
"Yes... I can to that..." He mumbled.  "Good." She kissed him on the forehead, just like a mother would do. "I'll be back soon." Was the last thing she said before walking away.

Veronica was walking in the dark alleys of the city, looking for a store that was easy to steal from. But today stealing was a bit more difficult than usual. Because of the rain, many people stayed inside. It was almost impossible to be unnoticed. Almost

She was scanning the small street, looking for what she would call a target. Her eyes fell upon a little shop in the middle of the street, the man who owned it was busy talking to some of his clients. Target found.

Nikki tried to go make to the shop as normal as possible, like she wasn't going to steal anything. Once she was there, she made sure the man didn't see her and was still talking to his clients. She took as many things as she could, not really caring what. It just had to be food. Then she walked away. Everying went just as the girl wanted. Until she heard. "Hey! Where to go think you're going thief? Get back here!" She dared to quickly glance and indeed it was the man of the shop, running towards her. Veronica didn't need to think twice before running.

Her feet were dragging her through many of the dark and small alleys, hoping the man would give up and go back. He didn't. She heard his footsteps getting closer and closer to her.

But suddenly she heard nothing. Just for a slip of a second she didn't hear his footsteps anymore. She wasn't running anymore either. It was like she was floating in the air.

Until she fell on the ground again.

But not the hard stone of the streets in London, no. This ground was a little bit softer, not much, but Veronica could feel the diffrence. Slowly looking up she knew she wasn't in London anymore. There was no rain, no dark alleys.

There was color, everywhere. Mostly green. She was in an arena? People screaming, waving with flags and masks.

"Where the hell am I?"
