Carefully Veronica started to get up, afraid she might have broken something during the fall. "Hey... Are you okay?" Suprised by the sudden sound of a voice she almost fell back to the ground, only to be grabbed by her arms which kept her on her feet. That's when Nikki noticed that she wasn't alone in the arena. The man that was holding her had blonde hair that has been cut short, he wore an armor and his blue eyes looked at her gently.

Upon remembering his question she shook her head lightly. "I-I don't know..." He searched her eyes for a moment before looking away, to another part of the arena. "Look, I wish I had more time to explain everything to you and help you..." He said, still looking at that part of the arena. "... But right now, you need to trust me and we'll get out of here alive, okay?" Still a little bit confiused, Veronica just nodded. The man let her go and faced with his whole body the part of the arena that he has been looking at seconds ago. That action made her turn her head too, curious to  what he was looking at.

But when her eyes fell upon a green creature, she took a step back. I must be dreaming...  "That's our enemy..." He pointed with a sort of hammer-sword thing to the creature in front of them. "Well, we used to work together... But I don't think he remembers that..." The more he talked to more Veronica got confiused. Working together? And now fighting against each other? What kind of world is this?  But the girl wasn't able to ask all these questions, because the man spoke again. "I'll fight him. You just have to stay behind and stand somewhere safe, got it?" He was looking at her, waiting for an answer. Her eyes where still glued to the green beast in front of her, not believing what she was seeing, waiting to wake up in one of the alleys of London. "Got it?" He repeated, a little bit louder which caused the girl the look at him. "Y-Yes..."

Veronica barely finished saying that word and he was already gone. She watched him sling his weapon at his opponent, like he was showing no mercy. It was so violent. The green creature was quick to strike back, sending the man to the other side of the arena. He landed into the wall, Nikki flinched at the sound. That must have been painful...  But before she knew it he was standing on his feet again, walking back to the fight. He didn't show the slightest reaction to any pain he should have felt after colliding with the wall. What is he? A god or something?

The fight went on and on. All Veronica could to was watch it all happen.

Until, suddenly the man was laying on the ground, clearly exhausted by the fight. But the green monster didn't care about that. It flew in the air, ready the hit him with his big, green fists. Nikki didn't have to think twice before doing what she alway does. Protecting. She formed a shield around the man, faster than she ever did before. The monster's fist collided with her shield, creating a loud bang. The girl closed her eyes at the sound and when she opend them again, her shield was still standing. The crowd was cheering. She smiled slightly, happy that it worked.

But her joy didn't last long when she saw the green beast coming towards her.

When Veronica heard some noise around her, she expected to feel the hard ground of the streets in London. Instead she felt something soft and warm surrounding her small body. She hesitantly opend her eyes, thinking it was just a imagination. She was wrong, the girl was indeed laying in a bed, solf blankets covering her frame.

For a second Nikki panicked, not remembering how she got here or even where she was. But then groaned when the memories of the day before floated through her mind.
The arena. The blue-eyed man. The green monster. The fight.

Slowly and carefully she tried to sit up. Veronica was almost sure that her body would have wounds from the previous events. To say that she was suprised when she felt no pain, was an understatement. She checked her arms, legs, back, torso... Everything. No blood, no pain.

"You're awake." A voice said solftly. It was familair. She looked at the source of the sound, there he stood. The blue-eyed man from the arena. He had a small smile on his face. "How are you feeling?"

"Alright, considering the circumstances." Her answer caused the man to nod, like he knew how she felt. "Who are you, actually? I mean... I... We didn't really had time to introduce each other yesterday..." He looked up suprised and a bit shocked.

"How rude of me. My name is Thor. And your's?"

"Veronica. Some people call me Nikki." For the first time since she arrived here, she smiled. A small but genuine smile. Unfortunately it was quickly replaced by a frown. "Umh... What... What is this place?"

Thor's smile faded at bit before answering. "This is Sakaar." He walked a bit closer to the bed she was in and sat down at the edge. "And I got here because my brother and I were trying to get away from our sister, it wasn't really meant to happen like that..."

"That's sounds like a family problem to me..." The both laughed slightly at the comment and then sat in a comfortable silence. But Thor still had a question to ask to young girl.

"Are you from Midgard?" When he saw the frown and confiused look on her face is asked his question diffrently. "Are you from Earth?" Then it was his turn to frown when the girl laughed.

"No... I'm from Mars!" She joked. Where else would I come from?  But upon noticing his confiused, yet suprised look in his eyes, she realised he didn't know she was joking. "Yes. I am from Earth."

Even though it looked like her second answer got Thor more confiused than before.

"How come you have powers?"
