before i start, i have a few things i need to make clear. one, ruby and yang are twins (both being 17, yang only being older by 7 seconds), their mother being raven, who had to leave to lead her tribe. she does her best to try and visit her family as much as she can. her motto is more of of 'do not pray for easy lives, pray to be (a) stronger (person) men' (-J.F.K.). summer is more of an 'aunt' to ruby and yang. also, Raven and Qrow have a better relationship than in canon RWBY.
for ruby's semblance, I feel as if it should be different, seeing as, according to the lore the show gave us, a semblance is based on ones personality, that or the personality is based on the semblance. either way, akame was never hyperactive. i feel like the ability manipulate shadows fits far more. Ruby's eyes glow when her semblance is activated, although ruby could also use this as an intimidation factor, just by activating her semblance, even if she doesn't actually 'use'
said semblance.also, I'm changing Jaune a bit. he won't have his semblance or aura until there canon point in the timeline, but he will be well versed with his sword, much like tatsume was, as we saw in episode 1 of akame ga kill.
I was in a dust shop called 'from dust to dawn' trying to get some more dust for my katana, Murasame. unlike most weapons nowadays, this is just a simple katana, no gun mode, no spear, nothing, except it's ability to use dust to the extreme. I don't really use too much dust in it, as I'd prefer not to kill someone who doesn't deserve it, but I was getting ready to head to beacon, and the dust I currently had wasn't going to be enough.
I felt someone tap my shoulder, so I grabbed my scroll, and paused the music, and took my headphones off my ears. "yes" I asked. "give me all your stuff" he said. "nice joke" I said, going to put my heaphones back on, before there was a red machete in my face. "give me all your stuff, now" he demanded. "want my sword first" I asked. "just give me your stuff" he yelled. "okay, here's my sword" I said. I unsheathed Murasame and swung upwards, cutting through him from his lower right waist through to his right shoulder. If you could see aura, you would see that it had a fine, clean, cut thanks to Murasame's sharp cutting edge. It was one of the many aspects I had great pride of.
there was another guy behind me. "unlike your friend here, you don't do a good job masking your presence, if someone focused, they'd be able to sense you from a mile away" I said. My eyes glowed as I started using the shadows from under the shelves to create a spike. The spike jutted up, and tore through the mans chest.
seeing that I just killed two of their men without much effort, the people who were robbing the dust shop started running. i walked up to the counter, and put about thirty lien on the counter. i didn't have time to count out the 25 lien plus tax that my dust would cost. "that should be enough to pay for my dust" I said, "mind if I go after them". the old man gave me a look of determination, and nodded.
I quickly ejected the currently empty canister of dust from the handle of my blade, and put the new dust canisters into some compartments on my belt. I ran out of the dust shop, and saw the guy who's outfit comically said 'I'm the bad guy', finish climbing the ladder to the top of the buidling.
'why is this colorful dust shop in an ally filled with bland looking buildings' was one though that came to mind. (Like, seriously, am I the only one who noticed this. I understand that the entire first season of RWBY looked half-assed, but still, really?) I used a shadow as a launch pad, and jumped on top of the building using the extra boost.
"sorry, black, you were worth every cent, truly, you were, but I must take my leave" bowler hat said as he entered a bullhead. A person in a dress, hidden by shadows, started lobbing flames at me, I dodged them, and used her 'cover' against her, as I formed a spike in the shadows, and pushed it to her chest, but she seemed to expect it, and moved to catch it.
she hurled another fireball at me, and before I could do anything about it, a women who appeared to be in her early thirties, came in and formed a green bubble around us, protecting us from the blast. The lady waved her whip around, and formed several 'spears' out of the rubble, and sent them at the bullhead.
(after the battle)
"do you have any idea how many lives you've endangered tonight" the lady asked. "less than if I had chose to not do anything, rather that what I did" I replied. "if it were up to me, you'd be sent home with a pat on the back" she started, "and a slap on the wrists". she brought her whip down for emphasis. I stared at her with unamused eyes. "ok" I said. "glynda, please do not threaten thd girl" an older sounding voice said. the man came from out of the shadows, and revealed himself to be proffessor ozpin of beacon academy.
"Ruby Branwen, you have Red eyes" He said. I was a little weirded out, but then he continued, "you look exactly like your mother". "other than my hairstyle, I guess i really do look like my mom" I said. "Anyways, I can see Raven taught you well" He said, showing the clip of the battle where I killed the guy with one slice. "Sure, I use a katana, like my mom, but Uncle Qrow also helped. Dad also taught me bit on how to fight if I ever find myself without Murasame, although not quite as extensively as Yang" I said.
"Murasame, translating to Village Rain. Is there a meaning behind it's name?" Ozpin asked. "It is also a name of a region on the carotid artery, where a bunch of vital points are located. anyways, I named it, taking both into account. the village rain part due to the way it uses dust. it uses a lot of it at first, and then lowers the effectivness the less dust in the canister. the easiest way to explain it is that it's like a storm that falls hard at first, and then gently. The other meaning is based on how easy it is to kill with this weapon. one cut, especially with any dust in it, is enough to cause extreme pain, potentially death, and if you damage your major organs, you're pretty much dead" I explained.
"I see, that's... quite the name" Ozpin said. "it also happens to be very similiar to a katana from my favourite manga, which is also named Murasame, although the one in the manga is much more lethal" Ruby said. "I assume you're planning on coming to the entrance exam in a few days" Ozpin stated. "yeah, I can't see how you're so calm with letting a murderer into your school though" Ruby said. "Ruby, I don't discriminate against anyone's backround. Don't tell anyone, but I heard a rumour that an Ex-White Fang member is coming to the entrance exam as well. Not to mention the fact that the only kills you've ever performed were all justified" Ozpin explained.
'gonna take another one from Akame Ga Kill here' ruby thought. "Proffessor Ozpin, no matter how you spin it, it is still murder. there is no justice in something like that. I could die at any moment as retribution for my actions" I said. "thats rather dark, but I can see what you mean" Ozpin said, "I guess I shall see you in a few days, then". "I guess we will" I said.
