"So, tell me a little about yourself!" Hiro said, crossing his legs and putting his pointer finger up to his chin.
She could feel her face turn a tad red. No one has ever asked her that before! "Uhm.." She giggled, repositioned herself, and cleared her throat, "I like to sing and dance, and I'm a sucker for cats.. Uh.."
Hiro grinned, "Sing for me!"
"WHAt?!" She squeaked. "Uh, I mean- sure. Sure, okay."
Closing her eyes, she thought of a random song. "It's 6 in the morning, and I'm still awake, my sleepless heart is torn up, babe, a love song's on the radio, but these words I hear, they're not for me no," she sung as quietly as humanly possible.
Opening her eyes, she saw Hiro smiling like a goof. "That was great!" He said, clapping.
She smiled bashfully. "Thanks.."
"What else?" He asked, with excitement in his eyes.
"Oh, well.. My mom was Chinese, and my dad is Korean. I'm an only child.. Uh.." She paused, a fact in her brain, but a very personal one. "..My mom died when I was two.."
"WAIT," he said, his eyes widening. "Your mom.. Died?" She nodded, frowning. "My parents died when I was really little, and my big brother.. Well... He just recently died in a fire.."
"Oh, that's horrible! But I know how you feel," Willow replied, trying not to turn this into a tear fest.
"Yeah, it's pretty bad. He was my only friend for a while... It's hard." Hiro sighed.
The cart jerked to a stop, and the pair realized that they were in it.
"Woah, look at the horizon!" She exclaimed, looking at the beautiful city. He stood next to her, in awe of the scenery.
The dark sky was illuminated by the billions of brightly colored lights of the city. The stars were scattered all across the sky, like salt.
"I-It's wonderful," Hiro breathed.
And yet again, the cart suddenly started moving. The sudden movement caused Willow to topple over, onto Hiro.
Clambering against the metal floor of the cart, Hiro fell to the ground under the weight of the girl.
Willow gasped, "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry! That was my fault."
He opened his eyes and smiled. "No, it wasn't. It was that persons fault!" He said, gesturing downwards.
For that brief moment, time seemed to stop. Their faces were inches apart, and any other person would've guessed they would kiss.
They stared into each other's eyes, breathing heavily.
Willow jumped up and held out her hand to help him up. "Oh gosh..."
He grasped her hand, which caused her to blush like crazy. "It's okay!" He grinned.
