Both father and son sat across each other at a table at one of the parks they had gone to. Just talking, and relaxing, when his father got a phone call. Annoyed, he answered with a huff, "Hello?"
It was a call from his office, as Kiseop watched his eyes turn from calm to distressed, "No...I can't. I don't care if it's an emergency, I'm on holiday. Get someone else to do it...Yes, thank you." and he hung up and rubbed his temples.
"Everything okay, father?" his son asked, concerned.
He nodded as he showed him a smile, "Yes."
Silence washed over the both of them, but Kiseop broke it by asking, "Why'd you do it?"
"Do what?"
"You know...take holiday to spend some time with me. You've never done that before."
"Well, my son," his father said as he folded his arms infront of him and sighed heavily, "You made me realize one thing."
"What's that?"
"There is nothing that can come in the way of family, and nothing's more important either. I spent my entire life, earning for you, when I never even realized how much you needed me and I wasn't even there. So, thank you for remaining patient...teaching me a lesson, changing me. Everything."
A full smile stretched across Kiseop's face upon hearing these words.
And so, from that day forth, his father never ditched Kiseop again, and although Kiseop was still aware of the fact he was an orphan, he had to stay in denial, for the rest of his life.
As for Hoon...well, let's just say he never changed, and remained his jolly, cheerful self, staying there by Kiseop's side whenever he needed him most~
The end.
