Kirsten woke up to kisses on her cheek.
"Hmm" she hummed as she turned onto her back and stretched.
"Good morning babe" Jeffery greeted her with a smile.
"What time is it?" she questioned with a frown.
"Its almost ten" This made Kirsten's eyes widen.
"Why didn't you wake me, I'm so sorry I overslept. I should've made you breakfast hours ago, why aren't you at work? How-"
"Stop talking, it's fine. I actually made you breakfast as an apology for how I was earlier" he gestured to the tray on the bedside table. "I just have a lot going on at work, please forgive me"
"Uhm, Jeff aren't you supposed to be at work?" she asked sitting up.
"I told them I had things to take care of" he her hand and placed a kiss on the back of her palm. "Forgive me?"
"Uh, sure" Kirsten wasn't surprised, he always say he's sorry and that he had 'a lot going on'. What she was confused about though was that he made her breakfast in bed and he took today off?
'How sweet!' her subconscious mocked.
Jeffery removed the tray from the bedside table and placed it on her lap.
"Thank you"
"You don't have to thank me, it's my duty to spoil my girl. Eat up, then get ready for us to go have lunch at Chicks" he said then exited the room.
'Are you for real?' Kirsten thought. She couldn't believe this was happening.
'Don't get attached to it, he's like a ticking time bomb so get ready for explosion' her subconscious argued.
'Shut up, I can get attached to it. He's probably changing because I lost my job'
'More like he's only doing this so you will forget what he did to you, and that he's the reason you are unemployed' This left Kirsten thinking for a while.
After eating the waffles and pancakes, and drinking orange juice, Kirsten went to the bathroom to freshen up. She wore skinny jeans and a t-shirt, her sneakers and placed her hair in a ponytail then met Jeffery in the sitting room.
"You're wearing that?" he asked.
"Yes, is something wrong?"
"Ofcourse not, let's go" he took a hold of her hand and they left the house.

"Lunch was great wasn't it?"
"Yes it was, we should do it more often" Kirsten agreed looking down at the clasped hands as Jeffery continued to control the staring of his silver Audi.
They had lunch and were on their way to get ice-cream.
"I'm hoping we can but it's not likely since you lost your job. I will have to work twice as hard for the both of us"
'You lost my job!' Kirsten wanted to burry her subconscious.
"I'm sorry"
"You don't need to be, I understand. Besides, no work for you simply means I'll have you all to myself" he raised her hand to his lips and kissed it making Kirsten smiled happily. They don't usually have moments like this.
Jeffery's phone rang making their moment short-lived.
"Hello?" he answered then frowned after a minute. "Oh yea, don't be like that...okay, I'll be there right away"
