"Edwin, no, that doesn't even make sense" I laughed, "I swear you and Nick say the dumbest shit."

Nick laughed at the sound of his name before attempting to explain himself, "I was asking a serious question" he continued laughing.

After actually having a conversation with him I came to the conclusion: he's actually not that bad.

"Hey bestie" I heard a voice say behind me and instantly cringed, "bestie? You know better" I laughed as I turned to face Aliyah just as I expected.

She raised her eyebrows in confusion but I knew it was an act, you can't be that dumb.

"Babe I ain't even know you was here" Nick smiled widely as he pulled Aliyah into his lap.

& I honestly felt horrible, I contemplated telling him but then again was it my place to tell him? And the more I get to know him I realize he really didn't deserve that... He really did love that girl.

As for Aliyah, I don't understand how you could be so deceiving and then smile in everybody's face.

Same for Zion.

When Aliyah joined the conversation I could feel my whole mood switch.

"I'll be right back" I smiled, excusing myself as I made my way to the kitchen.

I sat at the island as I opened one of the large bags of chips and refilled my cup.

What felt like maybe five minutes passed before someone joined me and sat beside me, I expected to be Edwin but when I turned I was met with Zion instead.

My smile instantly dropped, and I exhaled a sharp, heavy sigh, and turned my face to avoid conversation.

"How long you plan on ignoring me Y/N?" he asked and I only shrugged my shoulders.

About a second passed, "I don't know, as long as I feel like it" I answered nonchalantly.

"You can't ignore me forever" he continued.

"I literally just said: as long as I feel it" I said as I rolled my eyes.

"That little attitude you got only gonna make me like you more" he shrugged and started to laugh.

"Weirdo..." I mumbled inaudibly under my breath, "so if I be nice, then you'll leave me alone?" I asked shooting him a fake smile.

He just kept laughing but honestly I wasn't joking.

Nothing more was said for a while so I had thought he left until he suddenly began speaking again, "You and Edwin not a thing right?"

"What does it matter?" I asked not lifting my head.

"Just to be safe, you know? I couldn't do that to one of my guys" he said which instantly made me snap my neck to look at him.

"So what is Nick then? Because correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's exactly what you did to him."

"That's different Y/N, it wasn't intentional, I don't even know how it happened, she kissed me first I swear" he rambled as I continued to glare at him.

"And I know that doesn't even matter because I kissed her back but that's all it was, I don't even like her, like at all" he chuckled.

"Good to know" I mumbled as I continued to play on my phone, not giving him anymore attention.

"Look Y/N, I already lost the bet, and I probably already loss my chance with you too, but you can't blame a nigga for trying" he pled.

"That's cute" I laughed, "but I'm not dumb."

"Just think about it, I promise I won't waste your time."

You already did, but okay.

Tension filled the room as silence came over us...

"Y/N you okay?", I turned to face Edwin as he walked into the kitchen.

"Yeah I'm fine" I smiled and I could feel Zion's eyes burning holes in my skin.

"Austin was checking for you earlier, I don't know why but he said it was something you'd want to hear."

"Austin?" I questioned, raising my eyebrow at Edwin, that was new.

& he laughed lightly, "Yeah I know right, but he's in the living room just so you know" he smiled before making his way back out.

When I turned to leave Zion pulled me back, stopping me in my tracks, "just sleep on it, okay?" he smiled.

"Okay Zion" I chuckled, I had to give it him, he was really trying.

"Austin?" I called out and he turned to face me.

"I'm sorry" he breathed out, "I was being an ass" he chuckled as he ran his fingers through his much shorter hair.

"Yeah, no worries" I waved off as I turned on my heels to walk away again.

"Nah, like I'm sorry, for real" he smiled softly.

"Austin, it's okay" I laughed, I honestly wasn't pressed about it.

"And I don't know if you care but I think you should know Zion forfeited the bet" he said which drew my attention back to him.

"What you mean? Forfeited? He said he lost" I stated raising an eyebrow.

"No, he gave up the bet, and his car" he chuckled, "he said he really liked you and he didn't want to play with your feelings anymore."

"Yeah, I bet he does" I laughed and turned to walk away once more.

"I'm serious Y/N, I know I said you shouldn't get caught up with him but it was only because I thought he was worried about the bet, but there's no bet, and he's still trying, that's gotta mean something to you" he continued.

He was right, somewhat, but it's Zion, so how would I know?

"He gave up his car for you, if that don't mean he likes you I don't know what does" he laughed.

"Okay Austin," I laughed and returned back to the table where I had sat at the beginning of the party,

"You're backkkk!" Edwin clapped goofily, yeah ' I think you'd had enough' I thought as I'd grabbed the red solo cup from his hand.

I just laughed lightly and sat beside him.

"Just in time, I was about to tell Nick about when his girlfriend kissed Zion, and who better to tell it? You were there" he spoke as he words slurred and he began to laugh loudly.

The circle fell silent and everybody looked at me.

"What h-happened?" Edwin hiccuped as he just continued to laugh, "oh" he said as his laugh faded and he turned to look at me.

And once I was met with the eyes of Nick I instantly felt worse than I had been feeling all along.

"Wow" Nick snickered.

"Wow," I mumbled as I swallowed the lump in my throat.
