-It's 5:45 a.m. It's almost time for me to get ready for work, as a coffe barista. God.. Couldn't I get a worse job than this? Well, I guess it's better than anything, have to pay for college somehow..
-I get out of bed and go wash my face. The light makes me turn blind for a second, but after that I can see. I wash my face, brush my teeth and proceed for breakfast. Best time of the day, is it not?
-As I start to pour myself some cereal on a bowl of milk, I get a text from my boss, wishing me a good day at work. I proceed to eat my cereal, then get off to work.
-I get inside my car and drive off to the coffee shop. Here where I live, if you're at the age of sixteen, you can go for exams for a drivers license. Pretty neat, huh?
-I park my car close to the shop. I see a man who seemed pretty excited about me opening the doors, telling me to open them faster. But it's not my problem for opening at this time of the day, no?
-As I open the door, the guy rushes inside. With a polite smile, I ask him what he wanted to order. "A sweet frappé with milk and a side of your ham sandwiches" he said. I don't really understand the combination of that, but who am I to judge?
-9:45 a.m. The coffee shop is getting pretty crowded and it's got a very nice atmosphere. It's nice and cozy, and with the addition of jazz playing in the background, it couldn't get better. I stand in awe, thinking that this job was really bad, but I couldn't be more wrong. I get a call from a customer, asking for a cappuccino. I go to the coffee machine and make his order. As I'm waiting for the machine to finish, I see some girls running to our shop. They were giggling and smiling. They looked like my age too. The coffee machine is done. I take the cappuccino and head off to that table. Only a few moments later, I find myself on the ground with spilled coffee all over me. One of the girls really wanted to order as it seemed, so she ran to the counter. But of course, she ran to me instead, tackling me to the ground and staining my apron.
-We're both on the ground. I was about to scream from my anger at her, but as I looked at her.. My heart wouldn't stop racing. We locked eyes for a moment, staring deeply at each other. We're both blushing, and moments later, we snap out of reality. Then we both started laughing at the situation we were. "Are you alright?" I asked her, and as she shaked her head, I gave her a helping hand. "Jeez Run, you're so clumsy sometimes!" That comes from one of the girls. I tell her that it's no big deal, then proceeded by taking their orders. But something tells me that this won't be the last time I'll see her..
