Pain, The Jumper

I opened my eyes only to be blinded by the fluorescent lights shining above me. Three men stared down looking at me, surgical masks covering their mouths and noses; one man had a glint of something I couldn't quite place. Hunger? Lust? Desire? Then it came all at once. Two hands held me down at the thighs and a sharp pain shot through me, pulling out a scream from the bottom of my lungs as if the pain had long fingers that plucked it from deep within me. The tearing of flesh, the squelching of bloody tissue, then the sawing of bone, I continued to scream from what felt like the bottom of my soul.

Then the pain suddenly stopped, a deep, dull throbbing started and two thuds hit the floor. The "doctors" started talking but I couldn't hear the incoherent mumbling, as they pulled something over, something on wheels. My senses were filled with a mechanical whirring, the sounds of my ragged breath, the metallic smell of hardware, and finally the sharp pain of something being screwed into my flesh. I faded in and out of consciousness as the "doctors" stepped back. The last thing I saw will remain engraved in my brain, HATC.

"It is finished..."
