Grand Magic Games - Day Four

Day 4 started off horrible. It started with a game called Naval Battle. The competitors went into a giant water ball and had to push everyone else out. The competitors were: Lucy, Juvia, Minerva, Rocker, Shelia, Jenny, and Lisly.

Everyone got pushed out pretty quickly until it came to Lucy and Minerva. Minerva was just beating Lucy up and using her magic to keep her inside the ball. It pissed us off so much. Mato stopped the match. Erza, Natsu, Gray and I went to defend Lucy while Wendy and Shelia ran to heal her. At the same time, almost everyone from Sabertooth ran out to defend Minerva.

I pushed my way to the front and stared Minerva dead in the eyes. "I thought I warned you that I would kill you if you hurt my family again". I had noticed that Rogue was the only one who didn't come down, and that made me feel very proud, but my focus was on Minerva. I didn't even try to push down my powers. My eyes glowed red. I could vaguely hear the people surrounding me shouting my name, but I didn't care.

I looked up in time to see Obra on one of the statues staring at me. I took a deep breath to calm down. Once that was over, without another word, I turned around and walked away. As I walked back to my guild's stands, I snuck a glance at Rogue and saw him staring right at me. After that, I walked back to my stands.

I met up with the rest of the guild at the medical ward where Makarov explained that we had to merge our two teams into one to make the number of teams even again. The chosen wizards were Natsu, Gray, Erza, Gajeel and Laxus. The battles for today became two vs two people.

The first battle was between Bacchus and Rocker vs Ichiya and Bunny Suit. The mask came off to reveal Nichiya from Extalia. Bacchus attacked Nichiya and knocked him out. Ichiya suddenly grew very large and defeated both Bacchus and Rocker. The rest of us were left speechless.

The next battle was between Lyon and Yuka vs Millianna and Kagura. Kagura left Millianna to fight Lamia Scale on her own. At first, it seemed like Millianna was actually holding her own against Lyon and Yuka, but then Lyon started using her feline personality against her. Eventually, Lyon created a snow tiger and chased her around with it, until she ran into a wall. That meant it was time for Kagura to step in. With one hit, Yuka was down. Lyon was surprisingly holding his own against Kagura. Just as he was about to get defeated, the timer went off, declaring that match a draw.

It was finally time for the match we'd all been waiting for, Sting and Rogue vs Natsu and Gajeel. I was a bit conflicted as to who to cheer for, but I stayed with Fairy Tail. Right after the match started, Natsu and Gajeel caught Sting and Rogue by surprise by attacking them head-on. Natsu and Gajeel were actually winning.

Suddenly, Sting and Rogue activated their white and shadow drives. 'Oh no, they're serious,' I thought to myself.

Makarov turned to me. "Do you know what that is?" He asked me.

Turning to look at him, I replied, "Their white and shadow drives. It boosts their magic power". I turned back to the arena. "It's not every day you see them activate it. Natsu and Gajeel must be pretty tough".

As I said, they definitely got stronger. After that, Natsu and Gajeel were finding it very hard to keep up with Sting and Rogue. Gajeel was finding it very hard to land a single hit on Rogue, who became a literal shadow.

Meanwhile, Sting branded Natsu with his stigmata, which is supposed to paralyse people. Eventually, Natsu burned the stigmata off and Gajeel managed to get a hold of Rogue. After that, they defeated the twin dragons again, but the battle wasn't over yet.

Eventually, Sting tried to use a Dragon Slayer Secret Art on Natsu. The whole stadium was engulfed in white. When the dust cleared, Natsu was holding Sting's fist with his hand. I was shocked. Even I didn't expect Natsu to be able to block Sting's attack with just his hand.
