BUSTED // Noah Puckerman

Chapter Two

It was finally Friday after the long first week of school. Jordyn sat in Spanish class tapping her foot as she stared at the clock. She was completely confused and Mr. Shue was too busy helping out some chick named Mercedes.

"Finn" Jordyn whined a little too long. She had thrown her head and arms down on the table right beside Finn.

"Its not hard, Jordyn" Finn replied as he moved some of Jordyns hair off of his paper. Jordyn just sat up and looked at him as if he had three heads. Before she could say anything else, the bell rang and the two of them got up and left the classroom.

"You're a smart girl Jord, You'll figure it out." Finn nudged her shoulder a bit and she just look up at him and smiled. The two made their way down the halls and to their lockers where they saw Quinn waiting.

"Wheres Puckerman?" Finn asked as he opened his locker. Quinn nodded her head in the direction of Noah flirting with another girl on the cheerios.

"He's such an asshole" Quinn exclaimed as she noticed Jordyns eyes shift from Noah to her feet.

"He can do whatever he wants. Noah's cute and all but I dont and will never feel anything for him emotionally. I know that asking and expecting him to change is too much to ask." Jordyn sighed not seeing the looks she was receiving from her two best friends. As much as they didn't think so, Jordyn was telling the truth. She liked that she wasn't the third wheel anymore but she also knew that no matter what, Noah would never change so she just had to except it and move on.

Just as Jordyn had finished putting her things in her locker, Noah had noticed her across the hall and made his way to the beautiful blonde.

"Hey hot stuff" Noah smirked as he crossed his arms and leaned against the lockers.

"Make a new friend, Noah?" Quinn glared at the boy as Jordyn started walking to the cafeteria with the other three behind her. Noah decided to ignore Quinn and catch up with Jordyn.

"She was pretty" Jordyn spoke from beside Puck as she looked straight ahead as they entered the cafeteria. Puck frowned as they made their way to the line to get their lunch.

Puck grabbed two trays and handed one to Jordyn. "Not as pretty as you" he tried to catch her eyes but she refused to look at him. The two finished in line and found the table where Finn and Quinn sat, giggling and flirting with each other. Quinn looked up and smiled at Jordyn remembering something she probably didn't.

"So, Puck, what time are you picking Jordyn up tomorrow?" Quinn smiled innocently as Jordyn looked at her with questioning eyes.

"For our double date. At Breadsticks." Quinn spoke as if it was obvious. Jordyn then remembered their conversation on the first day back at school.

"I can drive myse-" Jordyn was cut off by Noah.

"Six. Im picking her up at six" Noah smiled as Jordyn just looked down at her tray. She didn't know why the sound of Noah's voice hurt her at the moment but it did. She knew that it was stupid to be jealous of the girl he was talking to. Noah was not her boyfriend so she had no right to be upset and she knew that.

Jordyn decided that the loud chatter of the cafeteria was too much for her so she turned to Noah.
She said his name but he was too into his conversation with some of the guys on the football team to hear. She tapped his shoulder as she tried once again to get his attention. The chatter increased and Jordyn started to get a headache.

"Noah, Please" Jordyn almost begged as she lightly grabbed his hand off the table and pulled. He seemed to notice as he turned and looked at her. His eyes seemed to softened as he looked into her eyes.

"Its too loud." The blonde girl spoke as he moved closer to her. He nodded his head and stood up with Jordyns hand still locked in his.
"Hey, where ya goin' man" One of his team mates asked as Jordyn told Quinn that she would see her later.
"My girl doesn't feel well" Puck answered as the other team mates looked at Jordyn, who was still talking to Quinn.
"Now if you'll excuse me" Noah spoke as he grabbed Jordyns hand that must have let go of his without noticing.

Jordyn and Noah left the cafeteria together, hand in hand. They walked down the long halls until they found her locker. She punched in her locker combo and grabbed the Aspirin and took two pills.
"Im sorry for acting like a baby and making you come with me. I know you didn't want to leave." Jordyn frowned as she slid down the lockers and rested her back against them.

"No, it was cute actually, the way you said my name and pulled me with you." Puck finally joined her on the ground. Jordyn rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, taking in Noah's scent.
"You're so soft" Jordyn teased.
"I am not." Noah said clearly offended but didn't move, afraid that he would disturb the girl.
Jordyn smiled and turned so that her nose was touching his bicep. Jordyn giggled, her eyes still closed.

"Whats so funny?" Puck asked as he looked down at her.
Jordyn smiled and breathed in one last time before speaking. "You smell really handsome"
Noah looked at the girl once again with a confused but also amused expression on his face.
"Whats gotten into you lately?" He asked laughing a bit but also serious.

Jordyn shrugged but didn't answer.
"You used to roll your eyes whenever I said anything and you even told me that you would be caught dead before you went anywhere near me and now, you're being all cuddly. I mean dont get me wrong, I really do like the fact that you cant take your hands off me but Im a bit confused." Jordyn didn't know what to say. He was right and she knew that.

"I dont know Puckerman. I don't know what you want to hear. I appreciate you, I really do, but you and I both know that all we're doing is wasting time. You'll never be able to settle down and date one person and even if you did, my parents would never approve." Jordyn hated to say it but it had to be said. They both were well aware that because of who Noah Puckerman was, they would never work.

Noah sighed but didn't say anything. "As far as I'm concerned, I only agreed to go on this stupid double date because I know Quinn has been wanting a reason to hangout with Finn." Jordyn spoke as she lifted herself up off the ground. The bell then rang and the kids started pilling into the halls and going to their lockers. Jordyn took one last look at Puck, waiting for him to say anything. She wanted him to tell her that he would try and change for her but she knew that he wouldn't.

"I'll see you later, Noah" She sighed before walking off to class, leaving Puckerman standing there, alone, wishing change was easier said than done.
