thank you so much for all the encouraging comments in the previous chapter T.T it makes me feel so much better and ,,, digagjadg idk how to explain it but i'm so thankful for all of you! and i turn 19 today soo here's an update which i'm not rly satisfied with

"Dude, focus." Kimberly nudges Jungkook for the eleventh time this afternoon.

"Oh yeah, sorry."

She sighs, adjusting her glasses whilst looking at him, "You know what? Let's meet tomorrow."

His eyes widen, "What? Why?"

"You are mentally not here anyways so we can't move forward."

"I will--"

"No, I'd rather you come and meet me tomorrow and do this project shit quickly and i don't know, maybe, enthusiastically. Also, Dara is not here today."

Jungkook nods, agreeing with her. "Sorry again. Should we meet at the same time tomorrow?"

"That's fine." She shrugs, packing up her things. "Why do you look so sullen today?"

"I just didn't get enough sleep." He lies, starting to pack his things as well.

Kimberly eyes him suspiciously before deciding to just mind her business, "Okay, see you tomorrow."

"Alright."

Jungkook zips his bag, letting a quiet yet heavy sigh and gets up from his seat when suddenly, he sees her walk pass outside the window in a hurry.

His movements pause, his mind recalling the events from last night on it's own.

Jungkook waits in front of the DayDream building, kicking his feet back and forth when suddenly, Dara jumps onto his back, surprising him.

"Hey!" She sings cheerfully, not forgetting to ruffle his hair before jumping off of his back.

"You seem excited." He smiles as they start walking.

"Of course. You know, a guy asked me out for a date tonight and I rejected him because I agreed to go with you, our sweet little Jungkookie!"

Jungkook clicks his tongue, making a confident expression, "Geez, these guys are always a step behind me."

She clicks her tongue, copying him, "Hey, that wouldn't matter if i chose them over you."

"You are right." He chuckles, ruffling her hair.

He slightly jumps when he hears his co-worker; jack calling out his name.

"Finally -- I've been calling your name for the past 2 minutes! You are zoning out a lot today, Jeon."

He walks towards the counter, his shoulders slumped, "I know."

"What's wrong?" Jack asks.

"Nothing big."

"Well, if it was nothing big, you wouldn't be like this. Even your project partner had to leave, isn't it?"

"I -- yeah."

Jack frowns, looking at the younger male, "Talking about project partners, I thought you said you are in the same group as Dara?"

"Y-Yeah, why?"

"I mean, she didn't come. Is she like one of those people in a group project who does nothing?"

Jungkook shakes his head immediately, "No, I just, she wasn't feeling that well in the morning so."
