"You don't know what you've got until it's gone,"

This quote was a perfect description of the situation Mina had got herself into.

There was nothing but pure despair coming from the elegance vampire's mouth. A dreadful wailed of agony was echoing throughout the whole park as the moonlight cast on Mina, as if it wanted to shame her of what she just did to the one who had been growing up with her.

The transparent tear was rolling off Mina's cheek as they were gleaming by the light of her only one witnesse in the sky. In Mina's heart, she knew that they would be no one here to help her at this hour of the night, where the brightest moon shined and the star came dancing around in the onyx sky. She was utterly alone at the park with the body of her other-half in her embrace.

Mina hugged his body with her shaking arm, caressing his face gently, longing for him to open his eyes and tell her this was all just an elaborate dream she had made up.

"Please wake up, (Y/n)..., I will do anything to fix this, so please just open your eye" Mina, somehow, managed to speak through her sobbing. She clutched his hand tightly as she felt the warmth coming out, even if it was not much but it was enough to give life to her joyless heart.

Putting him down to the bench then hopped over it, Mina sat down with his head on her lap. She stroked his hair softly while gazing out to the gorgeous view of the lake in front of her like a couple who was on a date. Just a thought of it made her heart ache miserably. They could have been together but she was the one who ruined it. She let her hunger consumed her and made the worst mistake of her life, one mistake she had swore to prevent ever since she was young.

She glanced at his neck, seeing two small red bite mark, which made another surge of tear streaming along her pale face "I'm so sorry, (Y/n)," Mina whimpered through her sobbing, she could hold it no longer. The freezing sensation she felt every time the wind met her cheek was nothing but great fuel for a fire burning in Mina's heart, emphasizing her of how horrible her mistake was.

While crying for her dear life with (Y/n)'s body in her arms, Mina's slim fingers were accidentally brushed against his nose and immediately met with a soft breath.

The small spark of hope instantly lightened up in Mina's heart, and it kept getting larger and brighter every time she felt (Y/n)'s weakly breath on the back of her hand. Her mind was immediately racing through every possible way to help him.

"I got it! --- No, that's too dangerous. Ai-shi, that way doesn't work too. Is there something I can do?" Mina shouted in frustration, slowly losing her once graceful composure. What she had in her mind was that (Y/n)'s life was on the line, but she didn't have any possible way of helping him. In this particular moment, she would sacrifice anything to get (Y/n) back, even her own life.

She was lost in her thought for a while without any ideas in her mind, but that was when the miracle happened to her desire. Were what her parents had told her true, they ought to help her whole ordeal.

They had told her not to worry, but now this was escalated into something beyond Mina's ability and comprehension.

"'Don't worry about it' my ass, I should have been worried the whole time!!" Mina shouted in anger and sorrow as the phase from her parents echoing in her head, screaming profanities, unlike her usual self. In amidst of her temper, Mina also recalled about the box that her parents had given to her when she was moving in, the box that had a little "Call us when something happens to (Y/n)" note on it.

Still frustrated about everything that had happened, Mina carried (Y/n) in her arms then ran through the park to her apartment, leaping into her room on the 7th floor. Luckily the street below her wasn't flooded with people like it usually are in the day, so there were absolutely no witnesses to the inhuman action she just did.
