*I fudged up the date for the Christmas Holidays I hope you don't mind, thanks for reading.*

Lydia headed to the library for some 'light' reading. Lydia realized that it wasn't enough to be top of her class in every subject. She had to prepare herself outside of class, she wanted to know about muggle things and spells to protect herself.

Seeing as there were werewolves running around and a potentially lethal tournament going on it seemed fit to prepare yourself for the worst-case scenario. The muggle stuff, on the other hand, was for fun. Muggles were frowned upon by her parents and by Jackson but the library supplied a big section for muggles so to Lydia's interest she grabbed some and headed off into the common room. Or was planning to until Stiles came along.

"What are you doing?" Stiles asked looking at the rather large stack of reading material.

"Potions essay," Lydia lied quickly in an effort to go by undetected.

"We don't have an essay and besides you're reading about muggle things and spells." Lydia sighed being so easily figured out.

"Fine, I'm doing some light reading for fun."

"That is not light reading," Stiles pointed out counting almost twenty books being carried in her arms, "at least let me carry some."

"I'm fine," Lydia stated determinedly.

"You know the books about muggles are probably old."

"So?"

"So, it's not enough to judge muggles based on 200 years ago. My dads a muggle and I've lived in a muggle world up until now, how about I teach you." Lydia hesitated, on one hand, she wanted to know the perspective of muggles from a muggle but on the other hand, Lydia was quite stubborn to ask someone for there help. Except when it came to Jackson, he loved being 'helpful'.

"I'm fine, thanks," Lydia replied curtly brushing past Stiles. Besides Allison was a muggle-born maybe she would know better than Stiles. She then made it to the common room and read in peace.

Allison was pumped along with Dennis at what Harry Potter had in his hands.

"He's supposed to work out the clue on his own," Allison heard Hermione say, "It's in
the tournament rules."

"Yeah, go on, Harry, open it!" Allison heard people echoed. Harry held the egg and opened it, a loud screech came out of it, piercing their eardrums.

"Shut it!" Allison heard someone shout and Harry obeyed.

"What was that?" Allison muttered to Dennis who still was trying to get his hearing back. Other people were uttering out theories of what the egg revealed but Allison couldn't be bothered much longer and went out to walk around.

"Did you hear what would be happening soon," Allison said excitedly to her peers at breakfast, "the yule ball is coming up."

"A ball?" Lydia questioned getting excited too.

"Like a party?" Stiles asked joining in on the pool of excitement.

"A formal one," Lydia corrected. Then Lydia dragged Allison to the end of the table.

"Who are you going to ask?" Lydia muttered keeping the others from hearing.

"Why do I have to ask someone?" Allison was confused.

"It's a ball," Lydia stated waiting for a proper response but didn't get one so Lydia elaborated, "you are on both Scott and Isaac's radar so who are you going to choose?"

"I'm just friends with them," Allison said denying the accusation, "but what about you?"

"Jackson will probably ask me," Lydia respond acting like that was an acceptable answer.

"That easy?" Allison asked not believing it to be so.

"I mean we've known each other for so long so probably."

"What are you two talking about?" Stiles asked with Scott beside him also curious.

"Nothing," the two replied in sinc before going back to their original spot but smiles still played on their faces, giddy about the yule ball. Except for the Christmas holidays, they were happening quite soon leaving the yule ball excitement to be replaced by getting to see their families, some were most excited than others. Although the Christmas spirit touched many others throughout the castle.

In the woods, deep within the woods a man and women are there without anyone to hear them for miles. Having the deadened silences as a good place to speak.

"You know Harry Potter goes here," the woman comments trying to break the ice. Her comment is hit with silence before a cold calculating voice responds.

"Harry Potter would be a good victim but I'm more focused on the people I have already bit."

"Scott McCall then?"

"Yes, I happen to have a man on the inside giving me information on him, he doesn't seem to be suffering as much as other people have done."

"Then you must want him in your pack then."

"Wishes only get you so far Kate, I will have him in my pack, where we aid Lord Voldemort."

"Is he really coming back?" Kate asked.

"I heard through a very trustable source, he is."

"Peter you're really going to trust someone about this piece of information, people have made up stuff like this for years."

"As I said a very trustable source, he's in the inner circle for him, he's seen him with his own two eyes."

"Well, what is our plan?"

"We'll give him the winter break then gradually he'll come to us."

"Ugh a patient plan, I hate those."

"Well they seem to work out the most often don't they? And we have Isaac to deal with for the meantime." The two smiled ear to ear. Scott McCall was in risk of being captured by Peter and he had no idea.
