✿Chapter 9✿

J🐅 POV

I awoke, but there was no Luke at my side. I smiled to myself reminiscing about the day before. He was honestly a big goofball, but that's what made him so perfect.

I hopped off of the couch that I was on and looked around, the smell of burnt eggs hitting my nose immediately. I made my way over to the kitchen and peered inside seeing Luke trying to cook breakfast. I laughed out loud which made him turn to look at me. "Hey you're alive! Thought I'd make us something to eat, but it's not working out too great..." He said, turning off the stove and sighing in defeat. "Yeah I'm not eating whatever you did, let's get something to eat that you didn't make." I said letting out another laugh. He pouted with a hurt expression written all over his face. "Rude, but sure. Let's go." He stated already walking over to the door.

As we were driving we just stopped buy a random fast-food establishment. I decided we should go through the drive-thru because, to be frank, I don't like people around me. ||honestly yeah|| When we got our food, we made our way back to Luke's place. "Hey not to scare you or anything-" he starts while focusing on the road "But when should we reveal this whole ordeal to the others?" He asked in a slightly nervous tone. There was a long pause, neither of us not knowing what to say. "How bout' after breakfast...we see if Ohm, Squirrel, and Gorilla are down to talk?" I suggested, breaking the silence. He didn't respond, only giving a small nod.
Why was he afraid?
Did he not want to be with me?
Am I not enough?
I looked down at my legs and started fumbling with my fingers as a nervous habit. The rest of the drive home was silent.

When we got home, I felt more secure than when we were driving. But the thought was always in the back of my head that Luke didn't love me. I tried brushing it off because Luke was a honest and straight-foward kinda guy. He wouldn't do that to me. I hope. I was brought back into reality when Luke started speaking "Hey Jon, you there?" He said waving towards me. I laughed and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Yeah just thinking to myself." I said grabbing the the bag and opening the door to his truck. He did the same, coffee in hand. We made our way to the door and Luke opened it for me, closing it once we were inside. "Wow~ what a gentleman." I said, a small laugh escaping my lips. He let out a small chuckle as well "Only for you~"

We sat at the table and began to eat the food that we purchased. It felt like we were an old married couple for some reason. I looked over at Luke who was taking bites of his food and smiled to myself. I couldn't even believe he would like a person like me. My smile slowly faded as the thought creeped up on me. I shook my head of those invasive thoughts and continued eating, why was this happening now? I was so happy, why can't it just stay that way?

I finished up my food a little later than Luke did. The antsy feeling of revealing this relationship of ours to close friends was exciting? I mean I don't know what to expect, it could go both ways. I grabbed Luke's hand after he cleaned up and smiled brightly at him. Luke pulled out his phone and texted the others to see if they would hop on discord with us. I was leading him down to his computer so that we could call there and the feeling of both nervousness and excitement was exhilarating. Luke sat down and I sat on his lap while we waited for a reply.

Soon enough, Ohm and Squirrel said they could while Gorilla stayed quiet. It was fine though, two people was enough for now. Luke opened up discord and started up a call. A few minutes passed by and they were both in the call. "Where's delirious?" Ohm asked. Luke chuckled slightly and responded "He's right here." As he said that I spoke up "What's up?" The other two guys sounded confused "What is delirious doing with you? Shouldn't he be at his house?" Squirrel questioned "Yeah they're probably banging or something like that!" Ohm exclaimed. "Actually- that's kinda the reason we called you guys." Luke said, a hint of fear in his voice. "Wait, WHAT?" Ohm and Squirrel said in unison. Luke scratched the back of his neck and laughed "Yeah we've been together for about a week now..." The call went silent before Squirrel clapped "Well I for one am happy for you guys! This was bound to happen anyways." I laughed to myself, thinking about how Luke and I were bound to be something from the beginning. He's the only one that really GETS me, I put all of my trust into him. "Not fair! You two are something and I get the nickname 'Butt Sex Ohm'?" We all laughed at Ohm's question "Yes because it fits you perfectly!" Luke chimed in. My more maniac laugh came out as this conversation went on. "Sorry you guys found out this way...it was sudden for us too." I said as we continued talking. "No need for apologizing! This is honestly a super fangirl moment for me!" Squirrel shouted "Yeah definitely! May the ship delitoonz never die, and both of you shall find everlasting happiness within each other!" Ohm exclaimed. "We're not getting married yet Ohm!" Luke said with a laugh. "Sureeeee, you guys probably already bought promise rings for eachother." Ohm said sarcastically. I laughed out loud and looked at the ring that was on my finger with 'Forever & Always' engraved into it.

As the talk of our relationship died down, we hung up the call and called it a day. I immediatley embraced Luke into my arms with a huge smile on my face "They didn't mind!" I shouted. He chuckled and hugged back "That's what friends are for silly!" I jumped off of him and snapped a picture of him sitting on the chair. I immediately posted it on Twitter with the caption 'I think somebody likes me 🤐💖' within minutes hundreds of replies came storming in. Some saying: 'what good friends!' '#delitoonz4lyfe' 'lol stop trolling'.  I smiled at Luke's reply to the photo 'Who told you that? 😳💕'
I held my phone close to my chest as Luke hugged me from behind "I love you so goddamn much." He said softly into my ear "I love me too~" I responded turning around and giving him a longing kiss.
