"So, where was Darshan all night?", Hardik asked and Jay smirked, who stood aside. "How do I know?", I asked them in utter shock. "He slept with you?", they said in unison. "NO", I exclaimed, immediately.

I don't remember anything but when I woke up I was all alone in my room, huh. We can't...we didn't and why will he sleep with someone who's like me? Rude, less beautiful, weird.

"Yes, Vishal saw him walking out of your room in the morning", Hardik told me. "We didn't, I swear", I rolled my eyes. I walked up to Vishal who sat in the waiting area of the airport reading a magazine. "Vishal, did you saw Darshan walking out of my room in the morning? Answer honestly, swear to your wife", I questioned while those two idiots stood their like pillars. "I swear on my wife, yes I did! Why will I lie, anyway? In fact, he was the one who helped you till your bedroom last night and as much as I hate to say, yes it's true", he sympathetically, smiled.

"Was it your first time, Roop?", Nitish joined in. "Oh wait, how are you going to face your boss now", Jay mocked. "Embarrassed", Hardik grinned at me. I looked at my sneakers. I could feel the urge to...cry. "What are you finding Darshan?", Jay asked. "I am uh", I looked at him. He was looking for something on the floor. "I'm finding your noses, don't you think it's in someone else's business?", he looked at three of them. "Why don't you three go and quietly sit with others and let me talk through, okay", Darshan looked at me and I could feel the embarrassment. "We didn't had sex, you'd your clothes on, right? Same clothes", he said loud enough so that everyone could hear and I nodded with a smile. He's not that bad. "It's okay but I want to ask you something, come", he held my wrist and dragged me towards a coffee shop.

What happened to him out of nowhere?

"What did you mean by when you said, give me tips to impress someone ‘your age’? You said it loud and clear so be honest", he asked as he placed an order for two coffees.
Oh God, I always embarrass myself when I extra drink. "I-uh", I rolled my eyes. I hate myself. "Maybe, I mean, no one would like me right? I mean, guys need things like a lot of things to like a girl so I just might've said it...I have an off dating life so", I looked, elsewhere. I didn't wanted to see his judgemental face.

"And you said that you loved and last time it went in hell",  he asked and I snapped my head at him. No! I didn't say that? Did I? What? Ugh!
"Nothing serious, nothing worth highlighting", I stammered. "The way you looked at me when I mentioned, was enough to tell me that it was real. You don't feel like saying or telling me, fine", he passed me my cup of coffee and held his, walking towards outside.

"Darshan, come", I stopped him and we took a seat nearby. I hate this. I'm doing this wrong. I'll regret it but...so be it.

[Darshan's POV] -

"When I was in college, I was utterly in love with my history professor. I didn't had any friends, like any serious ones so", she took a long sip from her coffee.
"History is so boring that everyone used to sleep in the class but the way this man talked about forts and kings", Roop licked her lower lip and smiled and I softly smiled too.
"It helped, he was fucking sexy", she looked at me and her eyes sort of naturally shimmered.
She looked so different and beautiful sort of.
"There was this guy who sat next to me, the proper spoilt kid who wanted a reason to talk always and he could talk for hours on that subject in the middle of the lecture", she said and I sipped my coffee, slowly.
"He used to share important notes if I was daydreaming and I did a lot of daydreaming about that professor, back then", Roop suppressed her blush. She looked cute.
"So, this guy next to me was irresistible so I made a deal sort of with him. If he could ask one question from the professor that he could be incorrect about. I'll go out on a date with him", she told me and I nodded vigorously.
"So, that guy thought and then stood up in the middle of the class and asked that will I go on a date with him and pointed at me, asking the professor", she sighed and I smiled. "The professor looked at him and then me and thought for a brief minute. He said no and that guy next to me asked that where would I like to go on the dinner. I said I'll tell you after the class. So, after the class I went to the professor and asked him why did he said ‘no’ with so much of certainty. Do you know what did he say?", Roop asked me, cheerfully and I shook my head.
"He said because you'll go on a date with me and that is when I started dating my history professor", she pressed her lips and I widened my eyes. "NOWAY", I slammed the table and she chuckled. "Yes, I'm not lying", Roop sipped her coffee.
"Dang, you're so cool. You literally dated your professor", I ridiculously, smiled.
"Wait, then why did it went in hell?", I asked her, suddenly. "I dated him for like um five years and then he cheated over me. Very terribly, he started dating a divorcee woman. Told me that I was a kid, and it was all kiddish. Nothing was serious but five years is long, right? Enough to imagine a future and already a loads of memories on your head", she looked outside the café from the glass window.
"I felt bad about myself as if I was just not enough...ever. He planted that fear or you say...I don't know but I feel I'm not enough, not good or very beautiful or something like that", she hesitantly looked at me. I wanted to prove her wrong there but I held back.
"So, uh I'd always had interest in older men that's why I actually asked how do I impress someone your age", she told me. "Our age", she corrected and smiled warmly. "I'm impressed already", I looked at her. "Okay, look I told you about all this because fine, I just felt like I could but then don't mock me", Roop said, rolling her eyes.
Why will I mock her?

I said the truth.
