I watched her again today in the halls. I must seem like a freak for being a slight stalker. I mean I don't follow her or anything, but anytime she's around I can't help but stare. I mean she's gorgeous. I'll never be able to speak to her. She'll likely never notice my existence. She'll go about her life and I'll go about mine. She probably doesn't even like girls. I so badly hope she likes girls.

"Yo, Harper! Wake up man you're staring" my best friend said to me as he playfully smacked the back of my head. I snapped out of the trance that amazing girl put me in and looked at my best friend. "Is it really that noticeable?" I asked. Casper rolled his eyes and chuckled at me being a shy mess before replying. "Sis, if I hadn't caught you I think you might've started drooling."  I sighed, "Do you think I'm pathetic?" I asked pushing my hair back out of my face. "No, I think you're just a mess with a high school crush." I closed my locker. "Okay yea maybe I am, but either way we have to go to class."  We made our way down the hall to our respective classes and the thought of that mysterious girl slipped away.

"Why does it take you so long to get ready for things like this?" Casper asked while he sat on my bed and waited quite impaitently for me to get ready to go to the volleyball game. I turned away from my vanity to face him. "Because one day she might notice me in the crowd." I recieved another eyeroll from my best friend. "Dude, she doesn't even notice you in the halls let alone in a crowded gym full of screaming people." I turned back to my vanity to finish my eyeliner and said ,"a girl can dream right?" A few minutes passed in silence. "Okay I'm ready to go" I said to Casper as I stood up and grabbed my wallet.  "Finally" he said as we walked to the door and headed to the car.

We walked into the gym and found seats on the crowed bleachers. The whole school was kind of obsessed with the volleyball team because they were the only sports team our school had that was undefeated and it was all thanks to that elusive girl that I'm head over heels with. I watched her from across the gym. She's tall, about 5'10 if I had to guess. Her hair is light brown, but not quite blond and falls just past her shoulders. I've never gotten close enough to tell you the exact color of her eyes, however if I had to guess I would say they're green. Whatever color they are I would just kill to be close enough to look into them. "Harper you're doing it again" Casper said while he shoveled popcorn in his mouth. I turned my head to him quickly. "Why can't you just let me stare at her? I mean it's not like I'm gonna follow her into a dark alley and harvest her organs or something. I'll just admire her from afar." Casper looked at me with wide eyes and started laughing hysterically. "What the fuck was that, man?" he asked through loud giggles. "I don't know, Cas I was being dramatic." I said as I stole some of his popcorn. He gave me a look for stealing his popcorn before saying, "Well, you gotta chill with that weird humor or your girl is gonna think you're going to murder her." I didn't get the chance to say anything after that because a volleyball came hurling towards my face and then everything went dark.
